Glass shatters. The enchanted rose floats to the ground, grazing the dead girl's curled fingers. The full petals drooping under the weight of the crimson blood pooling across the stone floor.
Belle crumples beside the pool. Her best friend is dead. The staff of the castle watch helplessly beside belle and Maurice. Their master, his fur matted with his lovers blood lay beside her. Océanas paling fingers curled around Adams paw.
Plumette curls into lumiéres side. Chip hides behind his mother unknowing to the misery and gruesome scene in front of him.
Approaching on hushed feet and a hiss of fabric across the floor Agatha stops behind them. The scene is startling at first but she stares for a long moment at the shimmering crimson rose resting by Océana dells hand with a knowing smile. The two found each other, two outcasts, two lovers. Agatha knew belle and the prince had not been meant to be, that Océana would find her way to where she belonged. Now it's time to fulfill her promise.
Océana
I'm Weightless, and cold. It's dark, the whispers of grief echo around me. I'm dead. Where is Adam?
I spin looking through the darkness, stars shimmer under my feet. Suddenly spurring to life. "Adam?!" My voice dies on my lips. A golden person approaches through the dark, like the sun through storm clouds.
The figure stops, the folds of her dress blooming around her. "It's time to go home." Her delicate hand stretches out towards me. I tuck my hands towards my chest. "Where is Adam?" I step away. "He is coming too. Do not worry child. It is time to go home. Your time is not up just yet." I reach out, casiously my finger tips brush hers and she explodes in a shower of gold. I gasp stepping back. The sparkles rain down around me. More and more sparkles until they become a flurry, blinding me.
My feet slip from the ground, rising up. I choke, my lungs burn as though I haven't been breathing. I gasp feeling my arms float outstretched. I'm back.
My feet brush the floor and whatever force holds me up let's go dropping me onto my knees. Several audible gasps echo through my ears. I blink once, twice. Someone pulls on my hands. "Océana." It comes out raspy but it's the same voice I love. I look up, expecting to see Adams fur, teeth claws and horns. I gasp. Vibrant blue eyes watch with so much adoration and concern. Those blue eyes. "Adam." He's human again, he's human. I launch off the ground wrapping myself around him. Adam stumbles taking ahold of my body. His face is buried in my hair.
"I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you." I repeat over and over again tears streaming into his long blonde hair and a smile killing my cheeks. "I love you Océana."he sets me Down. I don't even feel guilty staring at him. He is rather handsome.
His luminous blue eyes, the long locks of blonde hair, straight white teeth. Tall and still a large frame.
Adams gaze shifts to something behind me, his lips part in surprise. "Lumiére! Cogsworth!" Adam turns me around to face a group of people. Among them are belle and Maurice. "Master!" I recognize that voice. The man steps towards me his white wig static. "Merci, madam. I can finally be human once more." Lumiére kisses my hand before being pulled away by a beautiful girl in a maids dress. Plumette.
"Watch yourself deary. There's glass beside you." "Misses Potts!"I turn to the plump women and hug her. "Oh my!" She stumbles slightly shocked. I laugh hugging her tightly. Adam grabs my shoulder lightly catching my attention and pulling me away from mrs. Potts.
I hug him again. "Can we throw a ball? I've never seen one before." I ask him gently tugging my fingers through his long hair. "But your knee?" "Damn my knee. I'm going to dance." I insist. He laughs twirling us around.
I giggle, the folds of my silver gown twirling against my legs as Adam stops spinning. The ball room is open, the large windows allowing all possible light into the large space. Madam garderobe pelts out lyrics as her husband plays the piano with practiced grace off to the side. My family. Maurice is busy painting the party off to the side, belle in a beautiful yellow dress beside him.
"What's wrong? Is your knee bothering you?" Adam questions as we begin another dance. "No. Who is that man standing over there?" I point to a man with dark hair in a forest green suit watching the party. "I don't know why?" "He's watching belle. I want to know what he's like." A mischievous grin creeps on to Adams face. "Go, I will take this chance to sneak in for a dance with mrs. Potts." He bows slinking away from me and dissolving into the crowd. I gracefully weave through the dancing bodies sliding up beside the man.
"Hello." He looks startled. "Hello, madam..." "Océana dell." He smiles looking towards Adam watching us as he dances with mrs. Potts and chip. "Prince Adam courts you." He goes to bow. "I am no royalty, therefor you need not bow. I see you watching belle. Do you like to read?" I question. He nods, " I own a library in Paris, my father is a scientist. My sister is an inventor." I smile pushing him towards belle. "I do believe you will get along just fine." He smiles nervously walking towards belle. I sweep back through the crowd meeting Adam halfway. He cups my hand leading us into the dance with practiced ease.
"How did it go?" He steps left as I step right, hands clasped together in the air between us. "I don't think that could have gone any better." He laughs kidding my hand as I pass around him. "I love you." He whispers into my skin. I smile again. "I know." He growls kissing up my arm. I pull it away catching his arm and pulling him with me out onto the terrace into the silence. The music somehow never penetrating the gardens calm.
Adam and I stand shoulder to shoulder looking over the now covered garden, it's not nearly as frozen as it was during the curse, the bushes have lost their magical sparkle. Adam turns to me, taking my hands. "Océana dell, you have given my servants back something I could have never given them. You have given me a new purpose and I will never stop loving you for that." He tells me. I shake his hands loosely. "Adam, you saved your staff, your family. I am but an accessory." I tell him, he shakes his head. "You are no accessory Océana. Never in my eyes. I love you." "I love you too." I kiss him again. Still holding his hands down with my own, I smile.
I found my home, my family, and my true love all in one place, all I had to do was tamper with time.
The end
