"I love you."

He told me he loved me and I left. I'm no better than belle. Another girl to break his heart and leave to save Maurice. Maurice! Oh the cruel irony. How could I do this? How could I do this to Adam. He doesn't deserve this. He never deserved to have belle break his heart and leave him for her own needs. And then just when he thought it could never happen again. That he would be trapped in that tower alone for the rest of his life a beast I gave him false hope. Now he will die by gastons hand and it's my fault.

"We have to get out of here. Papa, papa can you get us out." Belle leads false hope. We're not getting out of here.

"I-I don't know. Let me see." Maurice slides across the carriage towards the door. I don't move out of his way. I stay sitting against the wall with tears staining my cheeks. He stops and sits down with belle on my opposite. "Océana this will not help save him dear." Maurice tells me wrapping a fatherly arm around my shoulders. I miss ms. Potts.

"We can't save him. Gaston is already there." I don't actually know if gaston has found the castle but I'm not going to be an optimist now. "No he isn't! You have to save him O! He needs you and you need him. Gaston said so himself. You love him." I glare at belle at the sound of gastons mention. "How do we get out! How do I stop Gaston from killing Adam when I can't even save myself from this box?!" I demand. "If I can get us out you can get to him." Maurice tells me. I look at him questionably. "You said 'if' you have no proof you can free us and if you do how can I get to him before Gaston? Florence is still back in the field. She is in no condition to go anywhere." I explain feeling less and less hope for this situation.

"Take phillipe! He knows the trail take him to the castle we'll find our own way there. Now will you let us try to get out?" I nod wiping away foolish tears. I have a chance to save Adam and I became a pessimist over being stuck in a cage. Wow.

"Alright." Maurice slips into the spot I unoccupy and reaches his hand through the bars feeling around for the lock. "Oh! It's just gears and metal, I should be able to pick it." Belle begins to pull a hair pin from her hair just as Maurice sits back. "All I need is-" he stops as belle offers the hair pin to him. I laugh at the fact she knows exactly what he needs before he asks. "This should do it." He takes the pin from her and leans back through the bars blindly picking the lock. Belle watches for the guard. I'm confused why they haven't taken us away yet, Gaston is probably trying to scare me again, or belle.

"He's coming back!" She whisper panics. Maurice shushes her. "I've almost. Got it!" He smiles pulling the lock into the carriage. I grin adrenaline flushing through my veins. "Now wait a moment, let him pass and I'll create a distraction." Maurice tells me and belle. We nod waiting for the guard to pass. He continues his rounds failing to notice the missing lock.

"Alright. Go." He eases the door open allowing belle and i to slip through before he eases the door shut behind him leaving it far enough to raise suspicions. "Go." He shoos us off. Belle clamps her small hand around my arm and runs through the village to phillipe standing by his stall tied to the post. Belle must have tied him up before she tried to help me with the crowd. She helps me up onto his back.

"Thank you." I tell her as she untied phillipe and hands me the reins. "Be safe." She counters. I smile nodding. "You too." She nods as well before slapping phillipes hind quarter sending him into a startled gallop. The wind slaps my hair into my face. I wave as I pass Maurice seeming to be in conversation with a very confused guard.

"Faster Phillipe." I plead settling low on his back yanking at the stupid skirt of my dress. It comes off with ease freeing my legs from the ridiculous folds and releasing the tight fitting trousers I wear instead of stockings and corset. Can't breathe in them anyway.

Phillipe flies through the archway of  villeneuve and up across the soft rolling countryside, we pass Florence who raises her head and neighs happily as we pass. New tears well in my eyes as I watch her fade into the pale landscape. The trees slap my skin as we pass through them turning sharply to charge through the hidden path. The wolves howl as we pass the pack as if greeting us. The gate looms up, the metal bending around lower section. They broke through.

The sound of battle cries and struggle echo through the garden as we race towards the front stairs. A great roar rips through the air silencing the battle and seizing my heart. He's hurt. I see Adams large figure high above the entry near my  tower. A red clad figure stands over him. Gaston. I throw myself off of phillipe before he comes to a stop, my knee giving off an agonizing throb I barely feel as I run though the front doors and up the stairs.

"Océana!"
"Océana!"
"Madam!"

I hear people cheer as I throw myself up the stairs towards Adam and gaston. Another roar fills the air echoing down the stairs. Hold on Adam, I'm coming.
