"So, what did the doctor say?" My mother asked, as Lark and I did a facetime with her and my family that night. Lark was ecstatic, and it was hard for him to keep calm.

"Well-" I stated, and Lark looked at me.

"Let me, please." He laughed, and I smiled.

"Go ahead."

"So, we are having a boy." Lark spoke, and his eyes lit up. My father smiled largely.

"FINALLY!" He exclaimed, and everyone started to laugh.

"Did you come up with any names?" Sadie questioned quickly, and Lark nodded.

"We both kinda want to name him after our fathers." Lark spoke, and I smiled.

"So, how is it gonna be arranged?" My father asked.

"Tucker Elliot or Elliot Tucker?" I questioned, and Mom laughed.

"Your father is going to be biased. He's gonna want it to be Elliot Tucker, but I really like Tucker Elliot."

After talking to my parents, and getting input from Aunt Amanda and Lark's sister, Lana, we had decided that our son's name is going to be Tucker Elliot Thompson. With his name and gender known, that weekend, Lark and I started to set up the nursery.

"Harper, can you get the door?" Lark laughed, as he came out of the nursery for a moment. I was in our bedroom, taking tags off of blue baby clothes, and I looked at him. He was completely covered in blue paint.

"I guess." I smiled.

I stood and walked out of the room, avoiding my husband as he lunged at me and tried to touch me with his paint covered hands.

I walked into the living room and opened the door.

"Aunt Amanda!" I exclaimed, and she stepped forward and pulled me into a hug.

"Oh, I've missed you." She breathed, and I smiled.

"I've missed you too. Hi Dominick." I spoke, and they smiled.

"Mandy?" Lark asked as he came out of the nursery.

"Whoa there, Lark. Stay away until you aren't covered in paint." She laughed.

"I'm going to shower, but once I'm done, I want to meet Jesse."

"Why is he covered in blue paint?" Dominick asked, and I smiled as I led them into our living room.

"We are working on the nursery. We decided on blue, since we don't know if we are gonna live here long enough to have another baby." I smiled, and they nodded.

"Can I see it? I'm excited." Amanda spoke, and I smiled and nodded.

"Of course. This way."

After showing off the nursery, and we looked through the clothes we bought, Lark was clean and was drinking with Dominick.

"She's adorable." I whispered, as I looked into Jesse's carrier, and smiled at her.

"I can't wait to see what Tucker is gonna look like." She smiled, and I ran my hand over my stomach and nodded.

"I'm so excited to be a mom." I spoke, and she hugged me.

"You are going to be a great mother, Harp. I know it." She spoke, and I smiled.

"Thanks. Now, I'm hungry. Do you want take out, or do you want to actually go to a restaurant?" I asked, and she laughed.

"It's up to you."

We spent three days with my Aunt, then she and Dominick went home. Lark and I went back to working on the nursery, and I was working through summer classes.

"Harper." Lark whispered late one night. I yawned and rolled over away from his voice. I had finally gotten comfortable and didn't want to wake up.

"Harper Rose Thompson, wake up." He spoke louder. I groaned and sat up awkwardly and looked at him.

"I'm warm and comfortable, what is the issue?" I questioned.

"We are getting on a plane to Manhattan." He spoke, and my eyes went wide.

"What?" I whimpered.

"Your mother was shot in action."

"No." I spoke, my eyes full of tears.

"She is in critical condition, but they think she is gonna make it." He replied, and I nodded.

"Help me up. We need to pack."

The whole time we were on the plane, I was nervous. I had no idea what to expect. I remember a few times when my father was shot, but nothing too bad. But now that my mother is in critical condition, I feel like crying.

Lark kept his arm around my shoulders and tried to keep me calm, but it wasn't helping.

"Alright, wanna come with me to grab our bags?" Lark asked, and I shook my head.

"I need to call my father and see what he needs." I spoke, and he nodded. He kissed me gently before walking off.

It was only 3 in the morning, and I knew he and everyone else had to be awake. I dialed his number and he picked up after two rings.

"Stabler." He whispered.

"Dad, it's Harper." I spoke, and he sniffled.

"You should be sleeping." He scolded.

"I'm fine, Dad. We just got to Manhattan. What do you need us to do?" I questioned.

"Go to the precinct and pick up your siblings. Just take a taxi there, and our car is there." He spoke.

"Alright, and after that?" I asked.

"Get some sleep." He spoke.

We went to the precinct and picked up my siblings, then drove them home. I proceeded to drive back to the hospital that my mother was at. Lark told me not to go, but I needed to. It's my mother. I told him that sitting with my father wasn't going to hurt Tucker.

"Dad!" I called, and my father looked up.

"Harper, what are you doing here?" He asked, and I pulled him into a hug.

"I came to keep you company." I replied, and he frowned.

"Go home and sleep. Make sure you don't get over tired." He spoke, and I ran my hand over my stomach as we sat down.

"Dad, I'm fine. I swear." I spoke, and he started to cry, completely surprising me.

"She lost so much blood." He whimpered, and I wrapped my arm around his shoulders and held him as he cried.

"Dad, she's going to make it." I spoke, bravely.

"I can't lose her again, Harp. She makes me so happy." He breathed, and I rubbed his back.

"She isn't going to die, Daddy. I know it." I breathed, and he wiped his eyes.

"You should be the one freaking out. I'm the Dad, I'm supposed to be strong." He spoke, and I frowned.

"Everyone is weak sometimes. I'm trying to be strong like Mom right now."
