Alright, I'm going to do this chapter in Olivia's POV. Hopefully you'll like it :)
Olivia's POV
I sat drinking coffee in my dinning room. Elliot and the kids were asleep, and my mind was wandering to my oldest daughter, Harper. The little girl who I've loved since the day we found out we were having a baby, and the one who I abandoned.
God do I wish I would've stayed around.
I was thinking more about what is happening in her life now, instead of what it had been.
She's married. A law school student. And a mother to an amazing little boy who stole our hearts.
But she was broken right now. He husband, Lark was in the hospital in Germany. He had been shot while fighting for his country, and she had to watch him suffer.
I was drawn from my thoughts when my phone rang. I yawned and reached for it.
"Benson." I answered.
"Mommy." Harper whimpered, and I become more alert.
"Harper, what's wrong? Baby? What happened?" I questioned, panicked.
"He doesn't love me anymore." She whispered, and my eyes went wide.
"Harper? Who? What's wrong?" I questioned, so damn confused.
"Lark!" She squeaked, and I felt my heart break.
"Baby, what did he do?" I whispered.
"He wants Tucker and I to leave. He black listed us at the hospital, and he doesn't want us anymore!" She cried. I stood up, ready to beat the shit out of him.
How dare he hurt my little girl?!
"Mommy." Harper whimpered, and I bit my lip.
"Sweetie, what do you need? I'll do anything for you. Anything at all." I spoke, and she let out a sob, before sniffling.
"Can Tucker and I come stay with you? We aren't going to be able to live on base, and I don't know if I can afford anything."
"Yes! Of course!" I exclaimed.
"Thanks. Um, I have a flight leaving Berlin at 6 tonight. Then I have to get all of Tuck's stuff out of the house. And-"
"Harp, do you want one of us to come down and help?" I asked.
"You would do that?" She asked.
"I said I'd do anything for you."
"Yes please."

I left with Sadie to go down to Atlanta. We got there before Harper did, and we got boxes and waited at the airport for her and Tucker to get home.
"Mom, what is happening?" Sadie asked, and I sighed.
"Lark and Harper are having some troubles." I replied, unsure of what I should tell my daughter, and what I should leave to her sister.
"Mom, I'm old enough to know." Sadie replied, and I looked over. She was 11.
"Lark is having troubles adapting to life without his leg."
"He doesn't want to be a father to Tucker? A husband to Harper?" She asked, and I frowned.
"Yeah."
"I really liked him." She frowned, and I looked over at her and nodded.
"I really liked him too, Sads." I breathed. She looked over as a plane came down to land.
"That might be her. Can we go in? I wanna see Tuck."

We went inside and waited for them to come through. When they did, Harper looked exhausted, and it broke my heart.
We walked over and I hugged Harper and Tucker. She sniffled but didn't start to cry again.
"Hey guys." She whispered, and I smiled gently.
"How was your flight?" I asked, as I took tucker from her and kissed his soft head. He had a head full of curls, just like Harper did when she was younger.
"Long. Tucker is such a good baby though." She smiled, as she hugged Sadie. Her smiled wasn't real. It didn't reach her eyes.
"Well, I bet you are hungry." I spoke, and she bit her head and just barely shook her head.
"If you aren't, Harper, I am." Sadie spoke, and I smiled.
"Let's go."
I drove to a local diner, and we got out. I carried Tucker's carrier in, and sighed.
"The air conditioning is amazing." Sadie sighed. I agree. I love Atlanta because it is so nice down here, but Manhattan is nice because of the coolness.
"I'm used to it." Harper admitted, and I looked over at her, and saw how red her eyes were.
We sat down and ordered, and Harper pulled out her phone and looked at something.
"Harp?" I asked, and she frowned.
"Lana just messaged me. Um, I'll be back." She spoke, tearfully. She got up and quickly went outside. I looked at Sadie.
"Can you manage your nephew?" I asked, and she nodded.
I got up and walked out after her. Harper stood by a tree, her body shaking.
"Harper!" I exclaimed, and she continued to cry.
"Mommy." She whispered. She quickly turned into me and hugged me tightly. I held her close and waited for her tears to stop before holding her at arm's length.
"Harper, what did she say?"
She handed me her phone, and I sighed as I held it away. I need my glasses for this moment, but fuck it.
L- Hey, Harper. Lark wants you and Tucker out of the house by tomorrow. I'm coming home to take care of the marriage stuff. Like removing you from his bank account and the whole base thing. Sorry.
Anger welled up in me. He was really just trying to erase them from his life? She just had their son, and now he wants nothing to do with them. He wasn't even going to help with the costs that come with raising a child.
"Harper, we will help you, sweetie. With the housing. The cost. Everything. You are out daughter, and right now, and anytime, we are going to be here to help you." I breathed. She wiped at her eyes.
"Mom, I can't just leave everything up to you and Dad. I'll pay rent. I'll help out." She rambled, and I pushed some hair out of her face.
"If you want to, sure, but you don't have to. Just help where you can." I spoke.
She didn't have to pay, she didn't have to do anything. She could just live with us, and Elliot and I would be fine. She could live with us till Tucker graduated, and we would still be okay.

Weeks followed her move, and she got depressed. She said she was fine, but she didn't know that we heard her crying every night. She got a job at a diner, and it paid her barely anything, and she had to quit college, which made me feel like shit. Just everything was hard for her, and I wish it didn't.
I wish she didn't have to do all of this. I wish she could just be happy.
