Shawn's pov:
4 DAYS LATER
"Emelia?" I questioned as I walked into the spare room. "Why haven't you got up yet?" I asked sitting on the edge of the bed. "You're gonna have to take the kids to school. I'm sick." She said and started coughing really bad.
"O-okay." I said and stood up. I walked closer to her and kissed her forehead. "I love you." I said but she just rolled over, her back now facing me. I sighed walking out to downstairs. "I'm dropping you guys off at school. Mom is sick." I said and Micheal groaned.
I just ignored it as I grabbed an apple and walked to my car with them following behind. First off I dropped Grace off at school. "Enjoy your day princess." I said and she gave me a kiss before jumping out of the car.
"Mom walks in with her." Micheal mumbled from the backseat and I saw Grace standing on the sidewalk. She looks clueless off what to do. Just as I wanted to get out Micheal jumped out taking her hand and walking her over the road to the school. He gave her a kiss and jogged back to the car.
"Thank you for taking care of your sister." I said after a while as we drove in silence to the high school. "Someone has to. You know, be the male figure in her life." He said and I tightened my grip on the steering wheel but feeling the pain of his words striking through my heart.
"That's it Micheal. I've had it with you calling me out all the time." I yelled and he sat up. "Well then change your shit dad because you don't even know what you're missing." He yelled. We arrived at school and he got out. "Enjoy you d-" but he slammed the door shut and walked off before I could finish my sentence.
I sat in the car looking at him as he walked into the school grounds and then I saw his file still on the floor of the car. I grabbed it and walked into the school grounds. "Micheal." I said when I saw him at the locker. "Dad! What are you doing?" He asked and I looked at him weirdly.
"You forgot this in the car." I said and he grabbed the file out of my hand. "A simple thank you would do." I said and heard people mumbling things among us. 'Is that his dad?' 'I didn't know his dad was Shawn Mendes!' People said and I looked around before turning around and walking off. I got in the car and drove to the studio.
"Hey where were you?" Geoff asked as I walked in. "Dropped the kids off at school. Emelia is sick." I said and he stopped me from walking into the studio. "What?" I aksed and he pushed me to the car. "Your wife.. is sick." He said and I got in the car, driving back to my house.
