Emelia's pov:

"Guess you missed him to huh?" Micheal said and I took his hand. "Dad. Mom. Please don't get a divorce. It'll only tear this more apart than it already is." He said and Shawn told him to come sit next to him.

"You're my son Micheal and I've been so cruel to you. And not only you but my baby girl and my wife to." He said and pulled him into a hug, kissing the top of his head.

"You're my boy. And I love you so much. But if this is what your mother wants, I can't fight against it. I want her to be happy, and I want you guys to be happy. And if that is letting you guys go then that's what I have to do." He said and I stood up.

"Emelia?" Shawn questioned andI turned to him. "Then don't leave." I said and he looked at me. I walked out of the room into the hallway.

"Mom?" I heard when I reached the door and turned around to see Micheal running down to me. "Please don't walk away on this." He said. "Micheal, you're old enough to understand what's going on. I have to go and be with Grace. I'll see you tomorrow okay." I said and kissed his forehead before going to my car and driving back to my dads.

He only wants us to be happy. He is willing to let us go, just so we can be happy.

NEXT WEEK

"Common Micheal!" I yelled as Grace threw the banner she made for him up in the air. She smiled at us as he ran onto the field. "Common Shawn. Don't disappoint." I said to myself as I looked around to see if I can find him.

The game started and Micheal already got a yellow card. "Common Miki!" Grace yelled and he looked back at me. I shrugged my shoulders and saw the disappointment on his face. I got up and wlaked down to him. "Hey. Don't let it get to you. Go out there and kick some butt." I said but he just looked down at the floor.

"Micheal! Why are you on the bench? I didn't cancel my interviews just to watch you warm the bench you nuthead!" I heard and looked over my shoulder to see Shawn walking up to us.

"Dad!" He said and jumped up. "You came." He said and gave him a hug. "Of course. I'm not missing a game, ever again. Now go out and kick some butt." He said and added. "Well after you sat there for a while." I laughed and he looked up at me with a smile.

Micheal sat down on the bench and Shawn walked to me. "You came." I said, feeling the tears in my eyes. "Didn't wanna miss it." He said and I kissed his cheek as we walked back to Grace.

She sat on his lap as the game went on and Micheal was back on the field.

"YES!" We all yelled and jumped up as Micheal scored the last 3 goals for the team and they won the state championships.
