-and we ain't kids no more-
"So, Jaeden Lieberher, you just finished shooting probably one of the most anticipated movies of 2032, how do you feel about that?" The interviewer asked, looking at the 30 year old man. "I mean, there's always very mixed emotions after finishing a project. There's a sadness in saying goodbye to everyone and saying goodbye to a character and a set. It's saying goodbye to a life. But on the other hand I now have more time to spend with my husband and my daughter. There's fulfillment in finishing something that took about a year. I'm thinking of taking a little while off, to spend some time with Kevin and Kaitlin."
"Do you know how long you'll be gone?"
"Well she's just started Kindergarten so I wanna spend some alone time with Kevin, aswell. I won't be doing any jobs except for maybe a cameo or two for the next year."
"Does that mean you will be attending the IT reunion that's coming up?"
"Yes, we deliberately planned it so none of us would be working that weekend. I can't give you an exact date, though, because people always manage to track us down."
"And how's your daughter liking..."-reunion weekend-
"Honey, we're two hours early, slow down." Kevin calmingly put his hand on Jaeden's shoulder. He nodded and let some tension slip from his shoulders. "I know, it's just that I haven't seen any of them in ten years."
"It'll be fine, it's not like you don't know what's going on in their lives."
"Okay true, I have no clue as to what Jack's up to, though."
"Well you can ask him, we're here, I think."An hour later someone else finally showed up. It was Sophia. Sophia Lillis was now a famous model and actress, a bit like a Cara Delevigne from 2032, she was single but happy about it. In her most recent movie, Chris, she played the titular character. It came out two months before. She was also a famous Victoria's Secret Angel and actually wore the million dollar bra last year. Her long red hair added to her stunning looks and if he hadn't been as straight as a rainbow, Jaeden was sure he would've been lusting after her the second she stepped out of her car in short shorts and a tanktop. He was taking in how much his friend had changed before being pulled back to earth by his husband telling him to watch their daughter while he helped her with her suitcase and handbag.
A little while after her, Finn arrived. Finn Wolfhard was famous, no other way to describe it. It seemed like there was nothing he hadn't done. He had directed, acted, written, modeled, and done so many other things that Jaeden lost track a few years ago. He occasionally appeared on a Stranger Things spinoff but his most recent series was one he'd helped write and direct called Boys. He was working on another project, a movie, and as far as most people knew that was it. However, based on the manuscript in the trunk of his '68 car, he was also writing something. He showed up with his curly hair as untamed as ever and wearing jeans, a band shirt, and a leather jacket, despite the heat. The temperature was high all the time but Global Warming had seemed to put extra effort in that day. Kaitlin was crying by the time Finn arrived with a key, just because of the heat. They hurried inside and Kevin sat in front of the air conditioning with the toddler.
Jack was next. He walked inside with nothing but a small bag and the clothes on his body. He drank a glass of water before even beginning to speak to the others and Jaeden took in his old friend while wondering what had happened to him.
Before he could tell them, however, Chosen and Jeremy got there. They'd both taken the bus and walked in still caught up in their conversation. Jeremy Taylor was still acting, mostly comedy, and had made quite a bit of money, even being called the Jack Black of his time. Chosen Jacobs had ended up marrying Sadie Sink, a match no one saw coming until Finn had introduced them. They had two kids together which was quite evident by the bags under his eyes. Sadie was ill so she and the kids were staying at her parents'. Chosen still acted quite a lot, actually taking over the role of Black Panther which he was now known for best. Though his role in The End Of Love was also very well known.
Finally Wyatt, the person Jaeden had looked forward to seeing again most, walked through the door. Wyatt Oleff was a writer, director, actor, and dad. His most recent movie was called Go Ask Dad, a comedy about a single dad with five kids. It was extremely popular and was proclaimed The Summer hit of 2031. He had been working on Crossroads, a series about two streets with extremely different inhabitants, since then. His hair was still curly but he kept it longer now. And his shirt was tight in all the right places. Jaeden found himself staring at his ex boyfriend before seeing his husband and daughter out of the corner of his eye and remembering how they'd broken up. IT had dropped the summer before and Wyatt and Jaeden were the only ones who still had a lot of contact. Which was normal as they were dating. It was in January 2018 that Wyatt told him the news. He was going to Australia for a movie. Of course they both thought they could make it work and sure, Skype and text saved their relationship for a little while. But in April of 2018 Jaeden was visiting his uncle in Australia, deciding to surprise Wyatt by showing up at his door. Only he wasn't the one who opened the door. Gen did. Of course, Gen had done nothing wrong, she didn't even know Jaeden and Wyatt were a thing until Jaeden showed up. He just threw the flowers onto the floor and told her to break up with Wyatt for him. She also broke it off and the two of them had been besties ever since.
To say there was a lot of awkwardness that weekend, is an understatement.
