Rain - Jyatt?

until it started to rain

Wyatt smiled as Jaeden leaned in for the dozenth time that night. It wasn't like there was anything special to most people. Most people just saw a sunset. But they, they saw love. So, a few hours earlier, Wyatt had done the thing he had been wanting to do for a year, and kissed Jaeden. They spent the night outside, together. And life was perfect.

Wyatt hesitated as Jaeden leaned in. They were in school and he wasn't sure how people were going to react. He still kissed him, sure that no one had seen, but luck was not on his side. Bullying, beatings, breakups, they were all frequent. And yes, sure, they got back together again after every time, but this time somehow felt different.

Wyatt cried as Jaeden stepped away. He grabbed the older boy's shirt but it had no effect, he walked out of there like they had never dated or even been friends. He walked out like he was not, in any way, attracted to guys.

Wyatt smiled weakly as Jaeden pushed him against a locker. Because even after all this, after everything that had happened, after how Jaeden had just left him alone when he needed him most, "I forgive you."
