-i don't feel any pain
a little fall of rain
can hardly hurt me now-

"No!" Before anyone could do anything else, Sadie was in front of the gun, taking the bullet that was meant for Millie. Her scream seemed to call the others back to earth and Finn shot the killer, not caring about his life. Sadie seemed to fall in slow-motion, like a puppet whose strings got cut. In reality, she fell in about a second, but to Sadie and Millie, it felt like an infinity. While Finn made sure the guy was actually dead, Millie sat down next to Sadie, cradling her as she cried. Sadie smiled up at Millie, a sad smile, yet so filled with love that it'd make Cupid throw up. "You'll be fine, Sadie, it's-it's only a-a scratch." Millie tried to say, but most of it was unintelligible between her sobs. "It's okay, Millie, I hardly feel it." Sadie said, her voice getting weaker as the sentence progressed. She reached out to wipe a tear from Millie's face before her hand dropped down again. She lay still in Millie's arms, the deafening screams no longer reaching her. The warmth leaving her lips and the blood leaving her body.
After two hours Millie got up, two hours of her crying and screaming and Finn sitting silently beside her with an arm around her. She got up with anger and determination on her face, picked Sadie up like she weighed nothing, ignored Finn's claims that she should take it easy, and walked into the nearby woods, to the clearing where they'd had lunch, where she and Sadie last kissed. She carefully laid the body down on the soft grass, smiling up at the sky as it started to rain.
