Rainy days

The bell finally rang and I sprinted to the locker rooms, getting changed in record time as a smile appeared on my face because it was finally the weekend. That smile, however, quickly faded when I saw the weather. To say it was pouring would be an understatement, it was like the entire ocean decided to fly over and fall on top of the town. As per usual, I was there on my bike, it was only 8 kilometers, so I'd get soaked before even leaving town, let alone make it to his own without fainting as I sometimes did when it rained. It was weird, but it happened. I stood in front of the exit with about 50 other students who all lived far away. Suddenly a group of five people passed through, all from my year. Millie lived one town over to she could easily make it, same went for Noah. Caleb and Gaten lived 10 and 12 kilometers from school, and Sadie lived about 1 kilometer from school. I barely knew them, though I did sit next to Sadie in Chem. "Hey Wolfhard!" She yelled and I looked her in the eyes. "Come with us, we're going to my place." I smiled thankfully and joined the five in walking outside. I quickly put my phone in the waterproof pocket in my bag and grabbed my keys, put up the hood of my coat, and found and grabbed my bike as quickly as I could. The six of us rode down the road like our lives depended on it. Sadie flipped off a car that splashed us and Caleb kicked a rock that was lying in the middle of the road to the side to make sure no accidents would happen. I silently thanked god for that because I definitely would've fallen. We made it to Sadie's in about two minutes, dripping all over the wooden floor of her cozy kitchen. "I'll go get towels and dry clothes. Millie, could you help me carry them?" The girls went upstairs and we took off our coats and shoes, putting them all as close to the heating as we could so they'd dry faster. "Gaten, Noah, tea?" Caleb asked, before looking at me questioningly. "Oh, right, I'm Finn, and yes, please." Caleb nodded. "Nice to meet you, I'm Caleb." He moved around the house like it was his own, he'd obviously been here before. "Noah." Noah said, looking through kitchen cupboards. "Top right, I'll get it, I'm Gaten, by the way." Gaten opened a cupboard that was too high for Noah to reach and grabbed a pack of teabags. The door opened and I turned towards the girls. Millie was holding a pile of towels while Sadie carried almost a wardrobe's worth of clothes. "So half of my hoodies are either pink or flowery and I've already dibsed a pair of sweatpants and that black hoodie so fight for it, Oedipuses." I laughed lightly. "Did you just call us motherfuckers in nerd?" She nodded proudly and walked off with a towel and her clothes. "You guys can change here, we're going back to my bedroom." She instructed, pulling Millie, who'd grabbed some yoga pants and a pink hoodie, with her. "You can change here, Sades." Caleb joked, grabbing mugs. "You wish, babe." She replied, closing the door to the hallway behind them. "Dibs on the most feminine hoodie you can find!" Gaten yelled, searching through the clothes and pulling out a pair of sweatpants and a sparkly, flowery, pink hoodie. "Okay, I'm gonna just..." Noah carefully grabbed some sweatpants and a normal hoodie. "I'll take this." Caleb grabbed a hoodie and some sweatpants. "This hoodie was mine anyways before she stole it." He said. I grabbed the last clothes, the hoodie being black with the word "woman" on the front with a flowery design. We quickly changed and Caleb made tea, Gaten and I raided the kitchen for cookies, and Noah found blankets and a movie to watch. Sadie and Millie made sure Gaten and I didn't empty the entire kitchen and before we knew it we were in the middle of watching Avengers.
