no longer there at all-"Look at it." Wyatt said, gesturing towards the town. He and Jaeden were standing on the outskirts of the place they hadn't visited in so many years. "Do you think this is how the Losers feel in IT?" Jaeden asked, staring at the busy town that once held only 5000 people. "You haven't mentioned that book in years, Jae." Wyatt remarked, turning towards the blue-eyed man. But for a second, just a second, he didn't see a tall, slightly muscular man. He saw a boy. Jaeden turned and the illusion was gone. "I know. But remember last time we were here?" Wyatt smiled. Oh, he remembered alright.
It was Jaeden's birthday. Naturally, Wyatt was going to go to his house to celebrate . But that year, Jaeden's 18th birthday, he wouldn't return home. He'd packed a bag earlier and left behind a note for his parents before running off to a cheap motel with the love of his life.
"I think it's time..." Wyatt softly said, grabbing Jaeden's hand and squeezing it. Jaeden squeezed back and together they walked into the town. Straight towards Jaeden's old house where, after all these years, his parents were waiting for him.
