My eyes flutter open. My surroundings were incredibly unfamiliar, and I was very confused.
I look around at the automobile.First of all, why me?
I was in a van and in the backseat. The van was clean, smelled like a new car. There were two men. One was driving and one was sitting next to me.
"Boss will be so proud of us." I look at my hands and feet. They were tied with paracord."We need to record the data though–" He looks at me and I give him an unamused expression.
They wore masquerade masks. They were both young.
"You're awake."
I laugh coldly. "No way."
"Watch your tone, b*tch!" The driver bellows.
"Watch my tone?" I snicker. "I'm not the one yelling."
The man next to me pulls an arm towards me and touches my jaw. I jerk my head away. He chuckles.
"Why so scared? It's a hand."
I glare. "I don't want your grubby hands on me."
He laughs.
"Too bad." He puts his hand on my jaw again, then my cheek, like he was purposely trying to irritate me.
My response?I bit his hand with as much might I had. He retracts his hand.
"You little brat!" He lunges forward.
I internally cringe, but I headbutt his skull. He jumps back.
"Get away from me!" I snarl. The paracord comes loose from around my wrists and ankles.
The man held his head and squeezed his eyes shut. I get the paracord off my feet and ankles and unlock the door with the knob that shows if a door is locked or not. I push the door open and jump.
Everything was slow-mo.
I heard my heartbeat pump hard. It was louder than everything.I land on the road. I fall and skid, my skin scraping up.
"Augh!" I groan.
I hear the car screech to a stop, and I watch it reverse. I get up fast and sprint the other direction. The car catches up, obviously, and they get out. They had me between themselves, a car, and a cliff. I watch them carefully, then sprint towards the car, throwing open the drivers side and turning on the engine. They left the keys in. I shut the door and lock the car.
Aggressively, I hit the gas pedal and give them the bird.
But they can probably track the car, so I'm gonna have to be reckless.
I drive until I know where I am, and drive to the edge of a cliff. I get the paracord and tie it to a tree by the edge.
There was a lot of paracords. I then tie it well around my arm, sure it won't unknot. I get back in the car and press the gas until I was halfway over. With that, I jump out and the car tilts over, due to the force of my jumping. I hit the edge and pull myself up. Down below, you can hear the car crash into the ground.
Well, what do I do now?
