    Amber

Remember Casanova? Oh, yea.
Around this town are some cute cafes, so I'm gonna go get some food.
I walk in to the cafe. The smell of raspberry pastries lures me in. Wow.
It's got this industrial look to it, with a perfect amount of coziness to it.
I take a seat by a window, allowing to see the partly cloudy sunset. I put on some bluetooth headphones. I turn on 'She Wolf' by Shakira. Yes I know it's from 2009, but I like it, and it's so much better than the rap music everyone's crazy for. Oh, don't forget the 'dab' and 'whip and nae nae'. I refuse to ever 'whip and nae nae'.
A waitress comes over. "Hello, what would you like today?" She smiles brightly. I swipe off my headphones and my music is barely audible, but I can't help but notice the smile lines on her face. I could be looking at her wavy brunette hair and big brown eyes, but her smile lines stick out to me. She's around my age.
"Uhm, could I have a Tropical Juice and a..," I look at the menu. "a croissant?"
"Coming right up." She says, turning on her heel and going into the kitchen.
Soon after, she's back with my order.
"Thank you." I say, with a forced smile.
"No problem, also, do you mind if I take a seat?"
I look at her. I hesitate, "Uh.. uhm sure, why not?"
      She smiles. "Hi, I'm Issac."
"Amber. I like your name." I somewhat mumble.
"Thanks. Are you new in town."
"Kinda, I've been here for about a month."
"Nice. What's been awful here? I've grown up here, so I'm curious what's wrong with it."
"No-nothings wrong with Sun Valley." I stutter, breaking eye contact. My ring suddenly becomes interesting.
I can sense her concern. "Why'd you stutter? What happened?"
Why not tell someone? It's been on my mind for a long time. "You know that crash that happened like two, three weeks ago on Dollar Street?"
"Yeah, did that scare you or something?"
"That was my mom." I quietly hiss.
      "Oh I'm so sorry!"
I wave her off. "It's fine. I better get going. How much to pay?"
"It's on me," she says. "since life took a turn for the worse on ya."
       "Oh thank you."
       "Also,"
       "Yeah?"
       "We should exchange numbers."

Turns out, we did exchange numbers. I made a friend. I think. Yea a friend. I think.
