Chapter 14

Moon's POV:

"Moon!" Some one called out to me while I was in a deep sleep. "Moon, wake up!" I opened my eyes and saw Kurzol standing before me.

My eyes slowly widened. "K-Kurzol," I groaned as I rubbed my eyes, "what's going on?"

He looked at my face in a worried way. "It's Toffee," Kurzol continued. "He and a whole army of monsters are headed towards the Butterfly Kingdom!"

I gasped. "W-what?!" I yelled. "I have to go back to the castle now! Stay here!" Kurzol nodded.

I quickly ran away from him and into the forest towards the palace. Thankfully, I didn't get lost.

After I had ran at least a mile, I finally made it. The monsters hadn't arrived yet. I was lucky.

I ran into the palace faster than the speed of light. I then warned the citizens and knights of Mewni to stay on guard in case the monsters arrive. They all agreed.

I went into one of my secret rooms to fetch my armor. It was enclosed in a secret closet that I only had the power to unlock. Once it opened I glanced at my armor for a few seconds.

It looks just like my mothers, I thought.

I shook my head and quickly realized that I had to put the armor on. I was so deep in thought that I had forgotten.

The armor was a blueish gray shade and had many different types of patterns on it. Once I put in on, I looked in the mirror and noticed that I was almost identical to my mother.

"Moon!" Paisley said she ran through the door. "There you are! I've been worried sick about you." She ran up to me and hugged me. As we were in a tight embrace, I noticed that she had armor on and a sword in her hand.

"Why are you wearing armor?" I asked in a concerned way.

Paisley painted her face with a determined look. "I'm going to help you fight off the monsters!" She stated. My eyes widened.

I quickly pulled the sword away from her hand. "No you're not!" I told her. She rolled her eyes.

"Yes I am!" She said as she pulled the sword out of my grasp.

"Paisley!" I yelled. "You can't you're too weak! You can't even use a sword!" I watched as her eyes were struck with sorrow.

"I never said that I was going to use a sword!" Paisley wailed. She dropped the weapon on the floor. "I'm not going to hurt the monsters. I'm going to reason with them."

My eyes widened once more. "Paisley!" I screamed. "Are you crazy! You're going to get yourself killed!"

"No I won't! I know what the monsters are like!"

"No you don't!"

"I know them better than you!"

"I was in love with a monster Paisley!"

"Yeah! And you killed some too!"

I froze. Tears started to fill up in my eyes. "You know what?" I told her. "You can go get yourself killed. See if I care. You're just like those stupid pathetic monsters."
