Fifteen minutes had passed and Aiza was driving in peace on the highway.

I had no idea how to make my appearance known now that I was there. I was worried about scaring her, which might lead to an accident. I was slumped in a very awkward position so I had to think of something quickly.

I took my mobile out of my white pant's pocket as carefully as possible without making an obvious movement and sent her a text,

"I need to talk to you."

I heard her mobile beep but she ignored it. A minute later I called her, and as soon as she was about to attend, I dropped the call. She probably had seen my text because she was parking the car on the sideway.

As soon as she parked, she dialled a number and suddenly my mobile started ringing in her car and we both let out a shriek - me in surprise, she in horror.

"What in the world do you think you're doing here?" she exclaimed turning to look at me.

"Nice to see you too," I said still slumped in the awkward position. "A little help, please."

She got out of the car and opened the back door to help me out. Once out, I hurriedly hand-pressed my red and blue flannel shirt and pants and pulled my hair in a high ponytail.

"Explain. Now," she said strictly and I looked up at her to see how angered she looked.

"Listen, I told you I had to go somewhere, but you didn't agree so I just decided to come along. Guess what, you wouldn't even have to lie to Uncle now because I am with you," I said almost jumping up and down at the last words. "Clever, right?"

"Clever? This is stupid! You need to go back now!" she ordered me. Few cars passed us every now and then.

"Go back with whom? If you turn around now, you'll be late for the meeting." I was not backing up, now that I was so close.

She knew she had no other choice so she simply mumbled,"Get in." I happily ran to the passenger seat.

"Where do you need to be?" she asked after sitting in and turning the engine on.

"In Toneptom. What a coincidence, don't you think?" I happily said.

"No. This is insane, Denae. You're 23 now. Grow up," she scolded.

"Nah, 24," I corrected her.

"That's worse." She rolled her eyes and focused on the road. "Where exactly do you have to be?"

"A house." I didn't want to tell her but what choice did I have.

"I'll be free by two in the afternoon. Do you think you can wait for five hours in my office?"

"Can't you just drop me at the house and then go to your meeting and pick me up when you're done?" I asked her.

"Okay. Where is it?" she sighed.

...

We just entered the city when Aiza parked the car on the side of the road. Looking in the rearview mirror she removed the veil from her face, revealing a beautiful but makeup-ed face. Adjusting her scarf, she drove again.

"Why did you remove the veil, Aiza?" I asked surprised.

"Because they don't allow it in Toneptom."

"Oh."

"I was wondering, the purpose of all this veil is to hide your beauty from the opposite sex. Right?" I asked after a few minutes. I was coming up with an argument.
