Wolf Tech 6: The Pups

Chapter 6

Damien and his Beta jumped back into the SUV and drove to the house David and Leon owned. They knew where it was since they kept a close eye on the two. Once they had arrived at the house the two swapped looks before climbing out of the SUV. Both walked to the door and beat on it. Since it was after midnight chances were good everyone was asleep in the house. It was going to take some time to wake them.

Eventually one of the women came down and opened the door, "What do you need?" She yawned and stretched before really looking at them, "No, David and Leon have been good, go away and leave them alone." She recognized them as wolves from the local pack.

Damien met her eyes before she could slam the door in their faces, "David was attacked by a rogue wolf. He is being taken to the pack's medical since the change has started. We know that David and Leon are involved as well as you and your girlfriend. Don't try and deny it, since we can smell it. What you do in your private lives we don't care but Leon needs to know. We need to bring him to the pack so he can be with David during the change. What happened we don't know and won't for a while. Get Leon so we can talk to him." It was an order and she reacted.

Before she could, Leon was down stairs and looking half asleep, "What do you want Damien? We've left you alone as best possible. Why are you here?" He was tired and wanted to go back to sleep. He had felt David leave for a run and hoped he would be home soon.

Damien didn't bother sighing, "David was attacked by a rogue. He was bitten and has been taken to the pack. We know you are together and he's going to need you next to him. Will you come with us?" Currently they didn't know what the rogue had told David. They wouldn't for at least two weeks if not three as the change progressed.

"What? What the fuck happened?" Leon almost screamed at Damien, "What did Zane have to do with this? He's the only one I can think of who might do this." Now he was fucking furious and wanted answers.

Damien maintained his cool, "Zane is in Canada and to the best of my knowledge he doesn't have anything to do with this. Will you come with me to help your mate? Before you start getting defensive, we didn't have anything to do with this. It goes against our laws. What are you going to do Leon?"

Kathy grabbed Leon's arm, "Don't assume anything. Go to David and go from there. We'll come with you." She looked at Damien, "We'll bring him with us to your pack. If it ends up Zane had something to do with this we will expect justice." She had studied what there was of the supernatural laws and it was a valid demand.

Damien nodded, "Understood and this is going to be investigated and dealt with by our laws. Right now, David is in the midst of a change and we need to deal with that first. Follow us and you will be allowed onto the pack property." He turned and walked to the SUV as the others hopped into one of their cars and pulled out to follow them.

The flight didn't take all that long since Adam had finally invested in a small jet, it had been modified by the Folicans to use the much smaller local runway. While they didn't release their technology, they were willing to do favours and upgrades.  When they finally arrived in Medford, he found Mike there. Zane hurried over and gave his uncle a good hug, "Hey Unc, tell me what's going on once we be on the road." Now wasn't a good time to discuss what had happened or what was going on.

Mike returned the hug and pulled out his phone, "Pick us up." Anne was in the SUV and was quickly there even as the others collected the luggage and carried it out. After tossing it into the back of the SUV everyone climbed into the large SUV before it pulled away.

As they were driving Mike caught Zane up with what was happening. It was going to be a mess no matter what happened. The worst part would be if they ended up having to kill David if he went insane. It helped that Leon was there and in the room. He had been forced to scrub down and dress in sanitary clothing.
