Dedicated to all those impacted by the "Cowardly Attack" in Manchester, England - You are in my thoughts!
The next day, Tala and Tommy lead their team down to the security office, where they had taken occasional shifts to help out, but now Tala and Tommy were going to be in charge! Both had discussed the fact they were nervous as they got ready; much was riding on those that ran the security office.
Sam had the early shift, "Hi!" she greeted when they came in. "Toby will be in after he has lunch."
Their dad had shown Riley and Logan the security office a number of times once it was obvious they were going to be enforcers as well. What still rankled Riley, still, was the adults had known they were going to be a team but hadn't told them. Even worse was once she had realized it she had asked her father about it only to get a smirk and nothing else from him. It had almost felt like he had patted her on the head and told her to go and play. She had been thirteen at that point and her independence had started showing and it had really upset her. Even Tessa hadn't been of any help since she had indicated it was simply the way it was done.
Logan could tell his sister was feeling somewhat irritable so he went with the greeting, "Morning Sam. We're going to start reviewing the lovely and exciting security policies and procedures. I'm sure Second Zane or the Alpha informed you of that." When working they didn't call Zane dad and used his rank and same for Adam. During normal activities, they were Dad and Adam.
Sam nodded, "Yes, we requested it. We haven't had a chance to take a vacation since we started, before you were born. We got a couple days here and there, but we requested a longer break. This audit time is perfect. You will be trained on taking over for us, and then when my mate and I feel you're ready, we'll take off. Zane will be your contact for any issues. We plan on taking a month off, and taking over one of the remote lodges."

Carla and Hesta had followed the rest of the team but hung back. They needed to know what their team was going to be doing, so they could understand how best to meet their needs. They did notice that the room had a fair amount of dust, and smiled at each other; that would be their project, get rid of all the dust in here.
When Carla pulled out a dusting cloth and started to clean an unused station the wolf there growled, "What are you doing?"
"Dusting the station." Carla said, not even bothering to look at the wolf. She quickly finished the station and started on some more. Tala and Tommy watched as they continued to talk to Sam, but spared some attention for their Thetas, as this wolf seemed to be taking an exception to them.
"What are you doing here, Unranked are not supposed to be here." The wolf half-growled.
Carla stalked up to him, and held up her ID, which showed Unrestricted Access/Next Alpha Support on it. "This shows I have access." She growled. "Do you want me to bring it to my team leader's attention?"
The wolf growled but shook his head, "Fine. But if you change anything you will be out."
Riley turned and growled at the wolf, "Do not growl at our Theta's. It isn't your decision to make on if they are here or not. If you have a problem with our Thetas, bring it to us and we'll deal with it. If you don't, this will be reported to Second Zane." After one last growl she turned back to Sam.
Carla didn't even bother saying anything, just turned back to doing her cleaning.
Hesta hadn't even stopped dusting, but had made sure they didn't affect the stations while they were doing so. *I think I know why this area hasn't been cleaned in weeks... I saw the duty roster, and he has been on the same schedule as the Theta that is assigned to clean here.*
