Wolf Tech 6: The Pups

Chapter 20

Sitting down in the common area, after checking out the area, "Well, we have four bedrooms." Tommy started, "Riley, you and Jake get one, Logan and Riley get another."

Louise interrupted, "Finlay and I could have Hesta curl up with us." Hesta nodded, looking pleased when they look at her.

"Now, we have one last room, do the four of us curl up, or— "

They were interrupted by a knock on the door. Carla answered it.

"I have the keys for your vehicle." Was the quiet reply, but please, may I come in?" There was a hint of pleading in the voice of the wolf.

Carla looked over at Tala, who nodded.

Carla opened the door wide, and the young wolf came in, with the keys dangling from one hand, forgotten, sniffing, their wolf forward in their eyes. They homed in on Graham before they plopped down in his lap, "Mine!" was all the wolf said before nuzzling the shocked wolf's neck, as they held them possessively.

"Mine," Graham said in agreement, with the team could hear his surprise in meeting his mate here; he had participated in the heat, even though he always preferred the company of other males. The team knew and had no issues with the way he was, but they kept it quiet as they were at other packs, as not all packs were as open. Tommy had shrugged when one person asked about it and was told to mind his own business. He had told Graham that, 'While you live with the team, they should know—they are like a family—it is none of the business of others, unless they are wanting to spend time with you; even then a "no" should be enough.'

Carla plucked the keys out of the wolf's hand as the two males kissed. The others watched amused. The two looked around a bit later, blushing, from the sea of eyes on them.

"Can we get your name?" Tala asked, amused.

He blushed more, "My name is Aiden." Was the reply, "I was assigned to help you, so I know your names, but not faces, but the only single male was Graham?" Graham nodded with a grin, before Aiden continued, "You two, must be Tala and Tommy," he told the two leaders, "You two, Riley and Jake, and Logan and Rachel." He correctly identified the two pairs of the twins.

All four grinned in reply. "Yup!" they said together.

"You are Louise and Finlay," he identified the last pair.

"Hesta, I know some distant cousins of yours that live here, and can smell the relation." He said which pleased her. "Lastly, Carla is your other Theta. So, I guess I know who is who?"

The team laughed at his comment. He joined them before taking a deep breath, and turning to the leaders, "As next alpha, I would like to request to join your team and pack." He asked formally, but before she could reply, he added, "While Alpha James is working on the pack, it is not very comfortable for one... like me."

Tala looked at the rest of the team, and they all nodded when she looked at them. She turned to Aiden, "I can't accept you without the Alpha's permission, but we can call him." She turned to their techs, and raiser her eyebrows.

Louise nodded, "Give us twenty minutes." She replied. At Tala's nod, she started to unpack their laptop, and get the gear ready for a secure video conference. It was more secure than using the local pack's network.

Tala turned back to Aiden, "Have your current Alpha join us."

Aiden got a distant look, before blinking, "He's coming," he replied.

Carla opened the door at the knock to admit Alpha James. Seeing how Aiden was curled up in one of their laps, "Congratulations, Aiden." He said happily. He turned to Tala, "I would like to ask you to take him in. While I am saddened to lose a wolf of his skills, he and his mate would not be comfortable with the way the pack is currently. While I am working at reversing the thought of the last two alphas, it is going to take time to have the pack accept same sex as equal not to be just tolerated."
