Wolf Tech 6: The Pups

Chapter 32

By the time heat was over Rachel, was almost beyond being embarrassed. It had been shocking the first morning when a portion of the she-wolves came down. Many of the younger men were looking wary and when Zane screamed it seemed like a quarter of the room jumped and vanished. When she'd looked he was swearing at the mind healer.

He groaned, "Damn it Beth! Go harass your mate." She'd done a sneak attack and bit an earlobe. He should have expected it, but he'd been watching the men and laughing at them. Kat was going to be going into heat in the next day or two and she nipped his other ear which made him growl again, "Talk to Beth if you're that close. I've work to do!"

That had been almost shocking hearing the Second scream like that. She'd stared at the three and had felt so confused. She still wasn't completely sure what the relationship between the three was. She knew Zane had saved Beth but not being a wolf it didn't make sense to her. Nobody had ever told her he'd bit her to save her. Not knowing she'd saved him as well didn't help.

Even more it hadn't helped having Logan giving her sly looks and chasing her around. When one of the older she-wolves pulled her to the side and explained some, she'd started chasing him around. He could easily get away from her but he let her chase him enough to get her going before he let her catch him.

Watching Riley and her brother had been disturbing. Even worse, she could sense some over their twin bond. The twin bond was strong enough it was hard to block at times. Even worse was she could feel the impact on her which caused her to want to chase after Logan even more. Thank god the month was over so she could relax. As soon as they verified she wasn't pregnant, that wasn't anything she wanted, she could be changed.

She'd reported to medical after the month was over. That had been horribly embarrassing since Len had done the exam. Actually, the exam hadn't been bad since he'd simply touched her stomach before telling her she wasn't. What had been embarrassing was being forced to go and be checked. She was barely eighteen and if she'd come back pregnant, she'd have probably died from shock. Ever since she and Logan had become active, they'd been very active and even though she was on birth-control, it had been a concern of hers.

What she'd been shocked to find out, was Riley was pregnant. She stared at her brother and then Riley when she'd discovered that. Riley had been shocked as well and left her sitting in shock in their lounge. Everyone know it was possible but it really wasn't expected due to her age and the time between pups. At least it wouldn't impact on her Turning Jake. It was going to be interesting but Jake's wolf would be awake well before Riley came anywhere near showing or delivering.

When Riley found she was pregnant she went to her mom and settled in her lap, "Mom, I'm pregnant. I guess my last heat Jake got lucky. Wanted to let you know before I tell dad." She wrapped her arms around Izzy's neck and leaned against her.

"Oh man... Not much younger than I was. Congrats baby doll. Zane will be pleased though you are young for a pup. Don't forget we're all here for you." She rubbed her daughters back, "Thankfully Rachel didn't get pregnant so she can be changed. Have you talked to Jake?"

"Not quite yet but I'm going to before he's changed. I needed my mom to know first." She knew both Teams would be there to support her but this was going to be their pups. Riley already knew she was going to have twins since they tended to run in their family and McCoy had already confirmed it.

"Then go and tell him and his family. Yours as well. I don't mean just your team but everyone. Both teams are your family and they have the right to know." She comforted her daughter until she was ready to leave. When Riley left Izzy looked at her mate as he walked in, "Goodness, and damn but we are fertile. I think we're the most fertile of many of the mates." Over the years she'd had several more pups of which most were twins.
