It was close to noon when they reached the lodge. Zane slowed down and shifted. He pulled on his clothing before walking in. Even as he was doing that so was everyone else. Tessa and Olivia hurried in. They knew he was going to be hungry even if he wasn't going to say much.

*Rachel, Jake, remain with our dad. He needs it and even if he can't say anything right now, he will understand and appreciate it.* Logan gave his mate a good hug and kiss, *Take that silly wolf I gave you with you and hold it as you cuddle with him. He'll appreciate the amusement value since it does look like me.*

Rachel and Jake moved over and settled down before leaning against Zane. Rachel couldn't resist tucking her little stuffed wolf into one of Zane's arms before leaning against him, *Cuddle my little wolf. Logan gave him to me when I was hurt. Hug him as much as you need.* She pressed her face into his shoulder and let his shirt absorb her tears.

Zane took the little wolf and barely smiled. He knew that it was based on his son. With a slight yawn he leaned against Rachel and closed his eyes. After wrapping his arm around Jake, he fell asleep before he realized it.

Jake leaned against the man and did his best to relax. When Zane fell asleep he looked at Beth, *I'm trying to understand what is going on with him. I've listened but don't understand. He killed the one causing problems. Why is it impacting him so much? I need to know since Riley is reacting to his... I just need to know.* The idea of killing anyone was nauseating but having seen the damage a rogue did to Logan he understood the need.

Beth settled down at Zane's feet and relaxed against him, *It is hard to explain and especially to someone who isn't a wolf yet and hasn't had much experience with wolf society. Remember when Logan was brought in? He killed a true rogue. Traditional rogues are insane, period. The longer a rogue, the crazier they become. Mik wasn't a rogue, so much as had a vendetta against Zane. He was still intelligent, able to think and plan, and didn't smell like a rogue. Mik turned two people, kidnapped another and tied up a child just to provoke Zane. What made it even worse was he respected Mik for his skills, except for his views on women. What is hurting him isn't just having killed him but he was forced to kill someone he had respected. He hates killing, even rogues, and this was far worse.*

Jake and Rachel both jerked like they'd been slapped. Before they could really think about it tears started trickling down. Even more flowed when they really thought about it and realized what she was saying. Both moved a bit closer to Zane and Rachel leaned more against him so he knew she was there.

In the master bedroom Jacob and Oscar set it up so everyone could sleep there. The bed was already massive but they carried in several more mattresses. For the next week or so they would be doing what they'd done when Zane had woken from the coma. They were going to love him back to his normal self.

Logan and the others brought the supplies and luggage in. There was a great deal of food for everyone. He was pulling out some food when Bear and Foxy went tearing past. For some reason she was chasing him and they were acting like barely adolescent dogs instead of the adult dogs they were. He had to lean against the Argo and watch their antics. Suddenly Bear turned the tables and started chasing Foxy around. After they did several laps around the him and the Argo he couldn't help but start laughing, "You two are nuts."

Riley was standing on the porch watching them and she was giggling at their antics as well. Even as worried as she was about their father she was enjoying watching the two wolf-dogs having fun helped. She couldn't resist and after a quick strip changed and charged after Bear who was again chasing Foxy. She barked and after a bump tore off towards the woods before coming back.
