Harry's POV
Blair's words swim through my mind as I push past a drunken couple making out on the stairs. I had never felt so helpless in my life. I shouldn't have said those things, I know I shouldn't have. I guess I was trying to protect her, throw everyone off her trail or something like that. It was stupid and fucked up. She's patient with me, she has always been that way. But for the first time, I am worried that she has lost her patience. She is tired of waiting around for me to put effort into our friendship. Hell I would be too.
Keys, where did I set down my damn keys. I try to mentally retrace my steps, but all I can think about is Blair upstairs by herself. I can't help but worry about her. They were in my jacket pocket in the closet by the front door! I make a b-line for the entry way. The music seems louder than ever and I'm glad I didn't have too much to drink tonight. I spot a flash of blue hair and start to turn around but I'm too late.
"Harry," Penny slurs, gripping my forearm for support.
"Penny, get out of my way," I grumble.
"Where did you run off to?" She asks.
"Penny," I warn pushing her away.
"To comfort your little friend upstairs?" She questions as she pushes her bottom lip out in a mocking pout.
"Shut up, Penny." I try move past her but she drops her arms over my shoulders.
"You know she's not your type," she hisses. "She's too clean."
"I don't like her like that," I snarl. "And why don't you mind your own fucking business."
"Don't you know me, Harry?" Penny runs her fingertips up my arm, along my bicep. "I'm in everyone's business." She raises her eyebrows suggestively and I narrow my eyes at her.
"That makes you a fucking nosy whore, then," I spit at her.
"Oh, please, Harry," Penny says, standing up straight and tossing her blue-tipped hair. "We both know I can make you moan my name over and over."
"I'm not your fuck buddy," I sneer, shoving her off me one last time. "I never was, and I never fucking will be. And besides everyone knows that your vagina is rated E for everyone."
"How dare you?" She screeches.
"Leave Blair the fuck alone or I'll--"
"You'll what, Harry? Hurt me? You'd never hurt a woman, even I know that," she cackles, her eyes dark.
"Not physically," I hiss at her before pushing past her and move to the entry way. Blair is probably wondering where I am. I find my coat and pull it from the hanger before heading back to the guest room I left Blair in.
"Harry," Luke says, a smile stretching out the scar on his face. Oh for fuck's sake! "How's our little Blair doing?"
"Fuck off," I growl.
"Whoa, there. I am only being a good host." Luke smirks.
The way my friends are speaking about Blair makes my blood boil. And I know that I let a lot slide, but I will not deal with this right now. The way Luke talks about Blair makes me want to add another scar to that fucker's face. I need to get Blair out of here.
"Don't go up there, Harry," Luke warns. "She's gone."
"What the fuck do you mean, she's gone?" I turn back glaring at him.
"I mean, she's gone as in not there," Luke smiles.
"You're drunk," I growl at him before taking the steps two at a time.
