Tris:
The annoying beeps of my alarm clock wake me up. The time reads 6:30, right on the dot. Today is the first day of my new high school. I used to go to Abnegation high for my first two years of high school, only because it was the only place I could go. I am in 10th grade this year, making me 16. This year, I will attend Dauntless high, since I chose it at the ceremony. Since I chose dauntless, I leave my family and move in at Dauntless headquarters, with the other new students. I will be trained to fight, and think quick, but wisely, even when I am scared, or the situation is horrible. My brother, Caleb, also chose to leave Abnegation high, and all our friends. He will be attending Erudite high, for the smart kids. The principal, Dr. Jeanine Matthews is really strict, which is why I easily ruled that school out. I was surprised he chose that school, since he was naturally selfless, like the abnegation.
"Beatrice, wake up!" Says the most annoying person in the world. Thankfully, it is one of the last mornings I have to spend with him.
I roll out of bed just as he tried to throw water on me. He barely missed. Now I have a mist on my face, and my bed is soaked. Great...I hop in the shower, trying not to yelp because it was so hot. Caleb. I swear I will get him back one day...
After I get out of the shower, I blow-dry my golden blonde hair, which has natural pale blonde highlights, which makes my hair slowly darken as it gets closer to the bottom of my head, where it is brown. To finish my hair, I straighten it, and braid it back into a high ponytail. Next, I prepare to do my makeup. I use a good primer, and use my favorite powder concealer. Then, I put on black mascara, and black eyeliner that makes my eyelashes look longer on the outside than the inside corner. I use a natural shade of eyeshadow, and use gold to make a somewhat 'fancy' smokey-eye. There is a dark brown shade on the inner corner, light brown, almost tan, in the middle, and then gold in the outer corner. To too my signature look off, I put on some blood-red lipstick, and some mauve blush.
When I get changed, I find a cute pink shirt. When u start to put it on, I realize I have a school dress code for my faction. Shoot. I quickly grab a black v-neck loose tank top, and pull on my favorite black ripped skinny jeans. I slide on my total black vans sneakers, and throw on a golden locket with two pictures inside. One of them is my family, and the other us my childhood best friend, Tobias.
When I was about ten, we stopped hanging out. I guess he couldn't see me very much anymore. This was when the abnegation started to be attacked by the erudite. Back then, it wasn't so bad, maybe just a few lies here and there, but now it's much worse. I rush out of my room at precisely 7:05. School starts at 7:45. Forty minutes. I sit down at the breakfast table and grab myself a banana muffin, and pour a glass of my favorite juice. The oddly colored naked green machine juice has a surprisingly great taste. After I eat my muffin, I climb the stairs of my three story house to get to the bathroom. I brush my teeth, put on some vanilla deodorant, and rinse my mouth with my whitening mouthwash. I reapply my lipstick, this time putting on some golden lip gloss on top. Then, I dig through my messy bathroom to find my lavender vanilla perfume, and spray it in my hair, on my wrists, and on my chest (It wears off fast). I run back downstairs at 7:25. Perfect timing. I say goodbye to my parents, who are mad at my brother and I at the moment, as I grab the keys to my slick black mustang. As I step outside, I feel a bit cold, so I grab my blood red and black leather jacket, with gold accents. I hop into my mustang and drive away, slightly over the speed limit, bobbing my head to Dark horse by Katy perry ft. Juicy J.
