Chapter 30: Hello

When we get there, we see...

Cake!

All the dauntless love cake, and I guess this just makes history a bit sweeter.

There are streamers and banners and a whole platter of muffins for our class to enjoy. Now that we're here, our walk seems to have been worth it.

I look around in amazement at how fast Mr. Wu would have had to put everything together. As I'm looking, two arms grab me and cover my mouth. I try screaming, but no sound comes out. Nobody around me notices, except for Lynn. My eyes scream for help, but all she does is laugh, probably at how pathetic my efforts are to her.

I am dragged out of the cafeteria, and blindfolded. I may be dauntless, but that doesn't stop me from being scared. I feel myself getting pushed into a car, and then speeding off to an unknown destination. Feeling like I have no other choice, I drift off to sleep.

When I wake up, I can feel that I am still in the car, and driving. Suddenly, we stop. The drivers door clicks open, and I hear the crunch of gravel from them exiting the vehicle. My door, which I was resting against, is pulled open, causing me to tumble to the hard ground below. My blindfold is loosened, and for the first time, I see where I am, and who my kidnapper is.

"Hello..." he laughs. I laugh along, and feel foolish for being so scared.

"Hi." I smile up at him, and jump into his arms. This is a great start to summer, and even though school hasn't officially ended, I have a feeling we aren't going back there anytime soon.
