I have a stack of books, a wall full of pictures and quotes, some art I drew, some movies, and, pictures with my friends Susan, and Robert, and Caleb, and Toby. I only met Toby a few times, maybe two or three times. I never really saw him again after his mother died. I went to the funeral. Nobody let us see the body. My erudite side made me suspicious. But the truth is, Toby was my first crush, EVER.
"Bea?" he says in disbelief.
"I love you, Toby. " I kiss him on the lips. Warmth spreads through my body, and I feel like I'm melting. He remembers me. We only knew each other for a short amount of time, and barely talked, but he remembers me.
"I never told you, but I always had a crush on you." He says to me while we're kissing.
"Me too" I mumble. Then we hear everyone calling our names.
"Tris! Tobias! where are you guys?" They yell
"Hold on, we're changing!" I scream back in response. I take tobias into my closet so I can change.
"So why do you have all those things in there?" he asks. I'm picking out a pair of red sweatpants and sliding them on.
"Because. I'm divergent, and you probably knew that, but everyone in Abnegation expected me to be this selfless angel, but I'm not. I'm not cut out for Abnegation. I needed something for myself to keep a secret. So I used that room. I am selfish. I am brave. "I say while slipping on a black 'Guy Harvey' shirt.
"Fair enough." He says. we walk downstairs to confirm the movie is good. They chose this movie called 'Catching fire.' We watch it on the couch, so I obviously cuddle with Tobias. The movie finishes by saying, "there is no district twelve," leaving all the girls, even lynn, and will and Zeke, in tears.and then we go swimming.
"Okay boys, get bathing suits from Caleb's room, girls, follow me for swimsuits.
They follow me to choose bathing suits that they like, or match their personality. Lynn grabs a black one piece and black swim shorts, while Chris grabs a black and pink striped bikini. Marlene gets a red and white tankini, and Shauna gets a lime green bikini with pink sparkles that are barely visible. Finally, I get to pick a bathing suit. I choose a black biking with grey fringe on the top, and grey bottoms.
"OMG tris you look great!" Christina yells as we walk downstairs and outside to the pool deck.
"OMG!!" Chris squeals. "you're pool is amazing!" my pool has a water slide in one side, and a diving board on the other. Both areas are 12 feet deep. In the middle, it is shallow for doing games and flips. I also have a thick glass floor and wall on a separate part if my pool with fish in each wall. Finally, there is a huge jacuzzi that holds a lot of people. Every thing is going great. We play chicken wars, some underwater charades, and take turns on the water slide and diving board. Sometime in the middle of all this, me and Tobias sneak off into the fish pool. We start to kiss, and loose track of time. I think it's been 10 minutes when Christina interrupts to both of us kissing, and my swim top unbuckled, sliding off.
"Ahem." She clears her throat. We both blush a deep shade of red. I fix my swim top, and we wade back to the group, very embarrassed.
All of us decide to go to a restaurant for cake. We go to a plaza called 'The Pit.' is is an underground system of shops and restaurants where Dauntless hang out and have fun. Inside the pit is one of the best restaurants, but I have never eaten there yet. I hear they have amazing cake.
We take a seat at a booth when our server, Lauren, comes to us.
We order a big huge platter of dauntless cake, which we all devour before heading back home.
-time lapse-
I wake up in the morning, and appear to be the only one awake. I have an idea. I grab an air horn, but accidentally wake uriah up before I can blare it out loud.
"Shhh." I whisper while holding back giggles. He nods, smiling. I take a zip tie, and prepare to tie it tighter. We walk out of the room, pull, close the dior and run.
Our feet take us to the basement, and we hide in the closet. It's been 15 minutes, and they still haven't found us. We decide it is safe. Uriah leads the way, and steps out of the basement. And that's when it happens. He appears.
