Chapter 15: The Unthinkable

Tris Pov:

I enter Jos. A. Bank to buy him a suit and tie for a fancy dinner I reserved for us on Christmas Eve. I buy myself a beautiful purple dress to match his tie. I also get our room a king sized bed, instead of our two twin mattresses we combined. Then, I pick out a jumbo penguin

Stuffed animal that matches my new jumbo turtle stuffed animal. I buy us a house, that way we can be together all the time. I also invest in a large wall-sized tv screen for our huge room in the house. The house is 35 minutes from our school, but it keeps us hidden from danger. I figure we'll be able to paint it whatever color we want soon, and decorate shortly after Christmas. I go to the car, drive home, and drive back to the mall. I find Christina there, who is surprisingly done shopping. She only has 10 bags, but that's a low for her. She drives me home, and I text tobias.

'I'm home, the keys are under the car's left top tire.'i say. I proceed to wrap the presents in penguin wrapping paper and topping them with golden bows. I set up our Christmas tree and decorate it with red garland, and gold and black shiny ornaments. It looks beautiful. I put all the presents that I wrapped under the tree just as I hear the door open. Tobias asks if he can wrap presents, and I allow him to.

'This Christmas is gonna be great.' I think to myself.

-Christmas Eve-

It's finally Christmas Eve, and I'm getting ready for a fancy dinner that Tobias planned. The new house, which is still a secret kept from everyone but me, has been painted dark beige on the outside, with black accents. It looks great to me, so all I need is Tobias to approve.

I put on my sheer purple dress, that ombrés  downwards towards the bottom, where it gets lighter. I put on some black eyeliner on the top lash line and bottom lash line. Next, I put foundation and concealer that evens out my skin. I don't need blush, because my cheeks are naturally rosy, but I put a small amount on tonight. I brush my teeth and use some mouthwash, then put on black mascara and some light brown eyeshadow. Finally, I put on some dark red/purple lipstick and a clear lip gloss that highlights my features. I think I look okay, so I head over to where Tobias is getting ready. He stares at me in shock.

"You look stunning." he manages to say. He is wearing the suit and tie I bought him, which looks amazing on him. I told him he could open it early, and he did.

We drive to the restaurant, which is called 'Divergent Café.' It serves Dauntless cake, as well as delicious bread and the best water there is. It also gives out the best fresh food like fruit and vegetables out, and brings them out on scales. They found a way to incorporate a bunch of pieces from the factions, and put them together here, as a restaurant.

When our waiter comes, she gives us water, and takes our order. I get a steak soaked in mango juice, while Tobias gets a fresh burger. We talk a bit, before our food comes. We dig into it, not caring about manners. We know eachother well enough that we don't need to impress one another. Then, the unthinkable happens.
