A Long Lost Friend.

Chapter 20

*Avis POV*

I watch with tears in my eyes as Y\N freezes and pulls Stephanie and David towards her in a hug. "David what happened?" She asks carefully and he starts to shake. "They were in a bank and well it was robbed." He says and she quickly connects the dots. "They were shot weren't they?" She asks and David nods. "Died right there." He says and Stephanie starts to cry. "Hey." I say and grab David who was closest to me and wrap him in a hug. "If you ever need anything I will be there for you and so will the rest of us." I say and Y\N pushes her button on the side of her bed. "Yes?" The nurse asks when she enters the room. "I would like to see the police that spoke to these two if I may." She says determined. "Yes I will have them come as soon as they can." She says walking out of the room. "David do you have any family left?" I ask and he shakes his head. "No. They were all we had left." He says burring his face into my side. "Little tulip I am so sorry that this had to happen to you at this young of an age." Y\N says to Stephanie while attempting to stop the tears from running down her face. I pull David as close to me as I can while not hurting myself. 'What is your plan there Y\N?' 'I am gonna adopt them. I know it seems like a big step but I have been caring about these two like they are my own two kids. I will let nothing ever hurt them again.' I smile and nod. 'Is it ok if I come and visit every once in a while?' 'I wouldn't have it any other way.'  She thinks as she glances over at me with a tear filled smile.  I send a smile back as the police walk into the room. 

*Your POV*

"Hello. Are you Miss Y\N?" They ask and she nods. "Oh Officer Bettin will you please escort these two to the orphanage please?" The first officer asks and I shake my head. "That will not be necessary. I wish to adopt these two." I say and the officer winces. "I'm sorry but I can not allow that if you are planning on being a single parent. " I glare and Avi sits up. "Excuse me officer, But she will not be alone in raising them. I happen to be her boyfriend, and I wish to help raise these kids." He says firmly and I stare at him with love filled eyes. 'Do you really mean that?' "Yes Y\N I do."He says and the officer smile. "Ah so you two are... got it. I will bring you the papers." All the sudden I am tackled by Stephanie while Avi is tackled by David. "You guys really mean that your going to adopt us? I thought that you two were just friends." David asks and I smile. "We are well were until Something happened." "When you passed out in the classroom is that when it happened?" "Yes! I forget that you were there. Well as soon the nurse lets me out we can go to your house and get all of your things and bring them to my apartment until my new house is finished." I say and they nod while Avi glances at 'Hey you are gonna give me the address right?' "Don't worry if you want you can live in the house too.' 'Are you sure that you are ok with that?' 'Ya I mean I love you.' I think and freeze. I watch as a smile flows over Avis face. "You mean that Y\N?" "Uh Ya I do." I say and he smiles jumping up and down slightly in his bed. "Oh my Goodness its about time!"
