The sun shone high in the sky. The few white clouds littered the bright blue sky, sometimes giving the sun a hiding spot. A fresh smell of sea salt lingered in the sky, getting breathed in by the villagers and the three strange looking girls on top of the mountain.
"A port town...?" The brunette of the group questioned, tilting her head to the side in curiosity.
"Hmm, I guess so..." The most bizarre one of the group with blonde and red hair, blue-violet eyes and three whisker-like marks on each cheek, replied.
"CAN-" The blue-haired girl cut off the brunette from her loud question.
"Before we go and take a look, I want to know where and how we go here." She stated. Mina looked away from her team and up to the sky when the red eyes of her teammate landed on her. She already had an idea of where they were, a different dimension, and how they got there, the puzzle box.
"Don't ask me how we got here," The multi hair coloured girl said, "All I know is that we were about to go to sleep."
"WAIT!" Chiyumi exclaimed gaining the two girls attention. "Could this be a dream?" She asked with eyes full of innocence.
"Could be," Etsuko replied, "For all we know, the pitching thing doesn't actually work." She continued narrowing her eyes at Mina, who seemed not to be paying attention to the conversation. A moment of silence passed between them before the Uzumaki spoke up.
"We might as well take a look," She said and started walking down the mountain.
The town below them was a lively one, like every other town that Mina seemed to visit. Merchants were selling their merchandise and the distinctive smell of yummy food filled the nostrils of one girl in particular.
"Is it just me," Mina started narrowing her eyes at the villagers who were bustling around, minding their own business.
"Or they have a dull look in their eyes?" The brown-eyed female finished off Mina's sentence. "I've noticed."
"I'm surprised you were able to see that," Etsuko teased with a side glance at Chiyumi. The two instantly started bickering, unaware of the stares they were given. Mina, on the other hand, was very aware of them.
She had already observed that they stuck out like a sore thumb, different clothing, different hair colours, whiskers on a face. They were definitely different from what people were used to here. It's a different universe, Mina thought, gazing forward at her teammates, of course, we look different.
Her eyes widened as she continued to look at her friend's backs. The pain in her scalp multiplied as she lost her footing, stumbling backwards.
Her screams for help were useless as a gag was choking her. It's not like anyone would try to help and if someone did notice her screaming, they would probably help the other people.
Her eyes widened more as her pupils dilated at the sudden memory that happened three years ago.
"Don't focus on what you aren't. You're Naruto's sister. An Uzumaki. And you're my daughter. I believe in you." Her eyes widened even more as tears flowed uncontrollably, "I sealed part of the Kyuubi in you because I know you can control the power." He said, the grin turning into a closed eye smile.
Almost as quick as when her blue-violet eyes widened, they narrowed into slits. No chakra? The longer she stared at the bland looking man wearing a brown outfit and a sword attached to his hip, the longer she was in this situation.
