"Nii-chan! We're gonna be late, ya know!" The little red-haired girl screamed throughout the house. Thumps of feet and shuffling sounded in the area, notifying that her brother was indeed rushing. The whiskered girl waited at the open door while hurriedly putting on her standard blue ninja sandals. The yellow-haired boy ran into the hallway and followed her example, also rushing to put his sandals on.

The boy ran in front of her and out the door, already knowing that his sister would catch up. She slammed the door behind her and sprinted off into the direction her brother was running in. Now running parallel to the whiskered boy she passed him a big red apple, not saying a word but giving him a look that he understood instantly. 'Eat it or no ramen for dinner'.

The boy grinned in thanks and took a huge bite out of it, slowing down his running as the girl did the same. "If it wasn't for you, we'd be in trouble for being late, ya know?" The boy commented as soon as the large red and white building came into view.

She laughed heartily, grinning from ear to ear. "And if it weren't for me you'd be having ramen 24/7 -which isn't good for the body by the way." She responded giving a playful side hug to her brother. "But if it weren't for you I would be alone. And it wouldn't be 'the troublemaking twins' or 'Uzumaki twins'." Her grin dropped into a smile at her own words whereas blonde beside her was now grinning a foxy grin. The boy hugged her tighter as she did the same to him.

"Promise me you won't leave." He asked her to promise, meeting his eyes with hers.

"Promise." She said fist bumping his outstretched fist, seriousness on her face.

Promises are made to be broken, right?

"You seem to be lost in thought," a silky smooth voice was heard behind the small figure on the edge of the cliff. The sea waves crashed vigorously against the rock, eroding it slowly. The fresh smell of salt lingered thickly in the air, it was somewhat calming.

"Yeah," the girl responded to the green haired man not looking back at him. "Just a memory." She sighed, turning her gaze to the almost clear sky that only had a few steadily moving white, fluffy, clouds and resting her right hand on the red and black handle of her katana. Sky blue eyes.

Bright sky blue eyes sparkled at the sight of the contents of the bowl. "You made this, nee-chan?" He questioned looking up with a huge grin. The young girl nodded proudly, holding the metal ladle in front of her face, hiding the shy grin.

"I asked the ramen man to teach me, but this is one of my own recipes." She informed watching intently as Naruto picked up a pair of chopsticks. Licking his lips, he picked up a few pieces of the slippery noodles and with skill, quickly placed them into his drooling mouth. Savouring the tastiness.

He didn't say anything about how it tasted, he didn't need to. She threw her head back and let out a slightly obnoxious laugh. Her brother slurped up the bowl of ramen, ready to ask for more, but a grin broke out on his face when he heard the clink of another bowl being placed down. And he instantly went to devour the ramen.

With speed, the red-haired girl went to get her own bowl of the luxurious food. "Seriously," The boy said with a full mouth, "you make the best food." He commented, slurping up more noodles right after.

"Why, thank you."

"Com'on Mina, we better meet the captain~" A cheery voice called out from behind her. The Uzumaki turned around and grinned, following her teammates and the other acquaintances. It was the next morning when they would be meeting the crew captain. Mina had unsealed her katana saving the long explanation that was sure to arise from all the questions if one had witnessed her unsealing a katana. She had strapped it to her hip, but it had moved to just behind.
