Two and a half years passed, in total with Jiraiya. Mina still trained her hardest with the perv. Although sometimes she would have that one lazy day.... Okay, maybe it wasn't just one day. Anyway, she was getting stronger, a lot in fact. Her will to become stronger and being able to see Naruto sooner was driving her to non-stop training. And although it seemed as Pervy Sage wasn't teaching her anything, he was. But it was unlike any teaching she's seen. He would tell her what to do, how to do it and show her a couple of times, then he would leave her to master the skill on her own.
She didn't mind it, but sometimes she would nag him until he showed an easier way to learn the skill. And like with Tsunade, they travelled at the same time.
Naruto was constantly on her mind, unanswered questions always swirled around in her head. But she would push them aside and hope for the best. That's all she could do at the moment, hope. She wanted to see his spiky blonde hair, the foxy grin, hear his voice. How much she missed her brother was unable to be put into words. Then again, the two siblings did do everything together, until she left.
Approximately three years went by in total and her training was complete. Training with Jiraiya of course and Mina thought it was a good idea to go back to the village. She asked Jiraiya not to tell the Hokage she was coming back, she knew he was writing letters to the Hokage, informing him in where she was and telling him not to worry.
Now twelve years old, Mina was ready to go back to the Hidden Leaf Village. So here she was, walking on the main road to the Leaf. Nearing the huge green gates, she was almost back to her home. She saw two figures standing near the gate, keeping watch.
Finally doing your job, Mina thought, after letting me leave so easily, of cause they would up security. She smiled, thinking that the Hokage actually cared.
"Hey!" One guard called to the cloaked figure that was approaching. She stopped walking a few feet away from them. "What business do you have here?" The same one asked narrowing his eyes in suspicion.
"I've come home." She replied briefly, a soft tone of her voice. The two males looked at the hooded, short figure in confusion.
The second gatekeeper cleared his throat, "Could you remove your hood?" He asked. Mina lifted her hands from under the cloak and gripped onto the end of her hood, she then lifted it over her face and head, letting it fall on her back.
Bright red hair fell from the hood, going well past her shoulders, almost reaching her knees. The two guards looked at her with wide eyes. The noticeable whisker-like marks and bright blue eyes with a violet tint looked back at them, a calm expression and a small, kind smile.
"I've come home." She repeated, snapping the guards out of their thoughts. The same one cleared his throat, again.
"Please follow me to the Hokage." He spoke, Mina nodded and the man started walking into the village, the redhead not far behind.

"Come in." A deep voice called through the door, the gatekeeper turned the handle and opened the door with a creek. The two walked in, Mina behind the taller male. "What is it Izumo?" The Hokage asked with a raised eyebrow, puffing smoke from his pipe.
"Um, you've got a visitor, Lord Hokage." He informed making the old man raise both brows in curiosity. Mina popped her head out from behind Izumo's back, a smile still on her lips.
"Long time no see, Gramps." She spoke with a cheerful tone. The Hokage's eyes widened visibly as his pipe dropped out his mouth and onto the table.
