As soon as Mina's eyes fluttered open, she was crushed into a hug. "Mina!" Naruto's distinctive voice yelled hugging her tighter. She groaned from the sudden contact but she didn't feel any pain where she should have. After all, Uzumaki's are known for their long lifespan and recovery of any injuries in a short amount of time.
"Naru-nii... Can't breathe." She choked out from the lack of oxygen. The blonde instantly let go of her and sat at the edge of the bed rubbing the back of his head nervously.
"Sorry," he laughed it off before suddenly getting a serious look on his face. "The funeral is tomorrow..." He informed the multi hair coloured girl dismally. She raised a brow in curiosity and confusion. She didn't say anything and let Naruto take his time to explain, "Gramps, he...he..." Naruto tried to explain but wasn't able to properly.
Mina understood what he was trying to explain and pulled him into a hug, "It's okay Naruto. It's okay." She pat his head in a soothing way as they continued to embrace each other in a hug. What felt like hours was only a couple of minutes or seconds. "Hey, Naruto?" She called.
Naruto hummed in response, "Shall we go get some ramen?" She asked. The question itself seemed to brighten the mood as Naruto pulled out of the hug and grinned.
"YEAH!" He shouted jumping out of the bed and running out the room. Mina softly laughed at her brother's tactics and got out the bed herself. Getting changed out of the hospital gown and into her own clothes, she followed Naruto out of the hospital room.

It was the day. Everyone was dressed in black as they lined up outside on the grave site. No one smiled, there was no reason to smile. The weather was dim. Dark clouds floated above, covering the sky. There wasn't a part of the sky that wasn't covered by the miserable, gloomy clouds.
Like everyone else, Mina was dressed in black. A black dress that went down just above her knees, black spandex shorts underneath and black mid thy length socks, paired with simple black flats. Her hair wasn't put in a pony tail like it usually was, instead, it rested on her shoulder blades, occasionally blowing to the side due to the wind. The single back clip held her bangs to the side, her forehead protector loosely tied to the neck and the necklace that Tsunade gave her hung from her neck resting on her chest. She also had the bracelet tied to her right wrist like usual.
One by one, people placed a single white flower on the coffin. When it came to her turn she placed the flower down gently but fastly, not wanting to be near that black box longer than she had to. She then stood back where she had previously stood, taking a hold of her brother's hand as he squeezed it reassuringly. No tears ran down her cheek, even if she heard the sobbing of a younger boy near her.
And, one by one, some people went up and said a few words about the third Hokage. Most were farewells, some were memories of him. Then one lady walked up, although there were traces of tears on her cheeks, what was noticeable was the scowl on her face.
She started speaking, her voice laced with sadness, "It's sad," She said, "there is so much death in this world, proven by the countless names on the KAI stone." She spoke gaining nods of agreement, "Everything seemed to be going okay for the past few years. The all of a sudden a certain person came back and it went downhill from there." Her voice wasn't sad anymore, it turned dark. "I think we all know who that person is," She turned her gaze to the person, glaring with all her might.
Mina's eyes widened as all heads were turned to her, many with the same look in their eyes. She clenched her fist and looked down. The woman continued to speak, "It's bad enough that we have one here already! When she left, things got so much better with only having one demon here. It was bad enough having one her already, but she just had to come back and make things worse than it already was!" Murmurs surrounded her as the woman continued to speak, "The village got attacked and the third Hokage died," She lifted a hand and pointed it at Mina, "All because the monster came back! Don't you see? That thing is the reason why our lives are so bad! Monsters shouldn't exist!"
The woman finished her speech, and everyone, but a few people, were agreeing with her. The people who did agree started chanting things that monsters don't deserve to live.
"Mina." Naruto's soft voice broke her out of her thoughts as she turned to look at Naruto smiling softly at her, "It's not your fault." He said, but it was barely heard by the noise from the other villagers.
She smiled back at him and turned to look back at the woman to tell her something, but as soon as she did, her eyes widened at the look she was giving her. A look full of hatred and disgust glared at the young girl.
Mina clenched her jaw and closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she let it out slowly. She then suddenly turned on her heels and ran away from all the people that were at the funeral. Including Naruto. Her brother shouted for her to stop, but she didn't, she continued to run away from the villagers. Just like she did a couple years ago.
She heard Naruto yelling at the villages about stuff but she was already too far away to be able to hear exactly what he was saying. Some other voices were heard, too. Mina finally stopped when she had reached a dead end. She then slumped down on her bottom looking over the destroyed village from the mountain she was sitting on.
The sky suddenly gave a loud roar and she didn't flinch when the little cold specks of water started to hit her skin roughly. No words came out of her mouth. She didn't make a sound. No tears slid from her face. Her eyes, that previously shone with life and happiness, showed no emotion. Dull blue-violet eyes stared off into space.
Mina pulled her knees to her chest and hugged her arms around them. She laid her cheek on her knee and continued to be lost in thought. Not even her name being called by a strange voice made her turn to look back.
"It seems like you're lost in thought, Uzumaki Mina." The person chuckled darkly into her ear. A shiver ran down her spine when she felt that the person was crouching down right behind her.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she quickly twisted around on guard. But it was already too late. Her eyes became wide and the dull blue-violet iris' shrank. She had read about those eyes before in one of Tsunade's books but never had she seen them before.
An orange swirly mask with one hole for one eye, came face to face with Mina. Her eyes instantly stared at into the eye hole. Big mistake. A gleaming red eye with three black spots, stared back into her eyes for a moment, before everything in her field of vision became blurry and a muddle of colours.
Her eyes rolled back to the back of her head as she felt herself falling into the grasp of the man. That was the last thing she felt before darkness completely took over her.

Thank you all for reading.
I will warn you now! There might be a teensy tiny crossover with another anime. If you haven't seen the anime, I'm not really bothered if you watch it or not but if you haven't seen it you won't know what's happening. You could just skip it, but something that affects the plot of the story happens. Just saying!
Hope you enjoyed this short chapter!
