It was Saturday and today was my date with Sammy he told me to pack an overnight bag cause wherever we were going we were staying, I just hope he doesn't think he was gonna get some because I'm not ready for that plus we aren't even dating so how would I look popping my coochie for a nigga that's not even mine.
I walked over to my closet to decide on what to wear today and I wore a simple burnt orange slit on the sides shirt and my black distressed fashion nova jeans and white vans, I had my curly hair in a low side ponytail and did my baby hairs.

Sammy🤗😍:you ready? I'm outside waiting.
1:29 pm

:yeah here I come
1:32 pm

I grabbed my bag , my phone and charger and walked downstairs.

"Bye ma, I'll text you when we get there I love you" I yelled out to my mom

"Alright baby be safe I love you too, take lots of pictures" she said back

I walked outside to Sammys car and he had big goofy smile on his face when I opened the door

"Stop looking at me" I chuckled

"You look nice I like your hair like that, it makes you look like them fine ass girls with the fat ass attitudes" he smirked

"You're a goofball shutup " I laughed.

We drove for a while towards Galveston

"So where is our destination" I chuckled

"Up yo ass and to the left, just sit back baby it's a surprise" he smiled

I nodded and drifted off into sleep.

-2hrs later-
Sammy shook me waking me up and I looked up at a beautiful hotel that was next to water.

"Oh my gosh, Sammy this is beautiful" I smiled looking around my surroundings.

We got our stuff and went inside to check in Sammy talked to the staff while I looked around the spontaneous place everything was elegant and I was just in awe that he even thought to bring me here.

We walked up to our room that overlooked the water that was behind us.

"Aight let's go" Sammy said as he sat our bags down.

"Where we going?"

"Damn can I surprise yo lil ass, you ask a lot of questions" He laughed

"Boy shush I'm just trynna make sure you ain't gonna kill me" I snickered and he stale faced me.

We walked outside and walked the waterfront the hotel sat on and walked into the fancy restaurant that had a view of the water

We walked in and I smiled from ear to ear Sammy really outdid himself

"Oh my god Sammy, you're literally the sweetest" I said in awh and he laughed charismatically and nodded bringing me into his embrace.

We were led to sit in the back were there was a candle lit dinner awaiting us.

"So what you got a taste for" Sammy asked overlooking the menu

"This grilled salmon and roasted parmesan asparagus dinner sounds bomb" I smiled over my menu looking up at him.

He smacked his lips and chuckled "man shut yo fat ass up all food sounds bomb to yo lil ass" he joked

I playfully rolled my eyes and sighed "oh shut yo lanky ass up"

He smacked his lips and chuckled, a few minutes later our dinner was brought out to us. 

"Sammy this, is perfect I really appreciate this thank you for bringing me here" I smiled

"You deserve it baby girl" He said.

I blushed and bowed my head, I don't think he knew that he really put did himself this was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done.

"So I know this question may be a little personal but I was just wondering" Sammy asked looking at me.

"Wondering what?"

"Where's ya pops?" He asked looking at me.

The feeling in my gut was almost indescribable, it's been a long time since someone asked me that and moving to Texas honestly I didn't think I would get asked again.

"My dad is in jail back in the Dominican Republic" I said, Sammy has been so sweet and trying his hardest with me the least I could do is be honest with him.

"May I ask why?" He said, just then our waiter came back and collected our empty plates.

"Can I get dessert started for you?" he asked

"Um yes please we'll take the baked Alaska" Sammy said

"Coming right up for you sir" the waiter said walking off

"Yes, after dinner we can talk about it while we smoke a blunt" I chuckled.

"You is my kinda shawty" he smirked

After our delicious dessert me and Sammy headed back to the hotel to roll up and we walked to the beach behind the hotel and sat along side the shore.

"So? What happened?" Sammy asked while sparking the blunt and passing it to me.

"My father was part of a cartel, honestly I don't know all the details about it he and my ma never let me see that lifestyle. Ya know when he was around me he was papi not a drug lord" I chuckled and shed a few tears

"Damn I wouldn't even have known you was around that type of shit"

"Yeah, I mean I pretty much grew up the same as a normal kid, we had a lot of money and we still do we just don't flaunt it, my ma and my father got into a really bad incident, my mom had an ultimatum, it was either we left Florida and she turned my dad in or we could've risked starting a war that could've possibly resulted in me losing my life. She uh did what she had to do I guess" I shrugged, I closed my eyes and let the feeling of the high take over my body before I felt someone's arms around me and opened them to Sammy holding me

"I'm here for you ma, I didn't know shit was deep like that like real fucking deep, you was a daddy's girl huh?" He said looking at me

I smiled and nodded "I was".

"It'll be okay, I don't know what's going on but I'm sure one day you'll see yo pops again" he said.

"I hope so"

God I really hope so.
