Do You Love Me?

HORROR!SANS POV

"Ogh... my skull... damn it. What hit me?" I looked up while rubbing my sore head to see Papyrus holding onto Kitten, frowning at me with a concerned expression. Kitten looked petrified as we locked eyes, and soon, everything that took place came flooding back to me. And I thought my skull was sore before. Now it was even worse.

"O-oh... oh Kit. I am so sorry!" I looked away from her, feeling ashamed. "What th' hell have I done..? I-I never meant ta... oh Asgore. I'm a monster..." I covered my eyes as guilt washed over me. I promised to protect her, and now? I was the one that she needed to be protected from. I ruined everything. She would never forgive me for this... it was all over. "I'm so sorry..."

READERS POV

Despite the pain in my leg, I could feel that the pain stinging in my heart was far stronger. Sans never meant for things to go so far. Like Gaster had told me, they needed to be saved from their madness, and from themselves. I couldn't stay mad at him... and besides, I actually kind of enjoyed what he did. Even the bite. I could feel a deep blush rising up into my cheeks as I thought about it, and I knew that I had to tell him the truth. Tell him the truth, and remove myself from this odd situation with Papyrus.

"S-Sans...?" I called out softly to him, reaching out a hand towards him despite Papyrus's tightening grip on my body. "H-huh...?" Slowly, he moved his hands away to look up at me, and I felt a pang of sadness course through my heart and SOUL. He had been crying. "Sans... come here." I continued to hold out my hand to him, gesturing for him to take it with a sympathetic smile.

Sans looked a bit shocked, but nevertheless, he slowly rose to his feet and took my hand in his, still looking ashamed. "Sans... it's alright. You don't need to be sorry." Wincing, I moved my injured arm out towards him, cupping his cheek in my hand. He looked surprised at this, and quickly moved to cover my hand with his.

"K-Kit! Your arm's still broken ya know... please be careful.." He looked towards the floor. "An'.. o'course I need t' be sorry... look at what I did t'ya." He looked back up into my eyes, and I gave a gentle laugh. "I know what you did... and.. to be perfectly and completely honest with you...? I actually really enjoyed it. All of it." I blushed sheepishly. "E-even the bite..."

Sans looked dumbfounded. "Y.. y-ya... really liked it..? B-but you were so scared! An'... an' I..-" I quickly interrupted him before he could say anything more. "I was frightened. But that just made it more exciting." I explained. "Even though you were lost within your madness, deep down I knew you would never do anything to really harm me.." I blushed. "...y-you love me..."

Sans' face became dusted in a light red blush. "Y...yea... I do..." He looked very meek as he smiled up at me, looking deep into my eyes. I blushed deeper as I looked into his single glowing red eye, smiling as I knew exactly what to say next. "..I love you, too."

"WHAT!?" Papyrus exclaimed in shock as he looked at me, then at Sans, and back again.

"What!?" Sans asked, looking just as shocked, if not more so than Papyrus. "D-do.. do ya really mean it, Kitten...?" He asked hopefully, and I watched in wonderment as his hollow eye began to glow in the shape of a blue heart once again. I gave him a shy nod, smiling as I gently stroked his cheekbone with my thumb. "I do.. and... I-I think I have felt this way ever since you first rescued me back in Snowdin. You were my angel in disguise."

Sans' eyes welled up with tears of happiness as he came forward to embrace me, gently lifting me out of Papyrus' hold. Papyrus almost didn't let go, but he relented, and allowed Sans to hold me. I nuzzled my cheek gently into his, purring softly as I kissed his tears away. "I-I'm so happy, Kit. I can't believe-"

Sans gave pause as something caught his eye... on the collar he had given to me. "What's this..?" Sans frowned, reaching out to examine what he was looking at. It was the collar tag that Papyrus had attached to me while Sans was unconscious. Sans eye began to flare

"...Pap. Care to explain this ta me?"
