Horror!Sans/Horror!P...
As I began to recall the events that had originally led me to the rescue of my- erm... the human... the more confused and intrigued I became. 'What a puzzle this is!' I mused, gazing into her beautiful, frightened eyes. "Urk!" My cheekbones became dusted with a light orange at that passing thought, but I was quick to shake it off, regaining my composure. Clearing my throat, I noticed her curious expression, waiting for me to continue on with my tale.
"S-SORRY, KITTEN! I MUST HAVE SPACED OFF THERE FOR A MOMENT. NYEH HEH... EH..." I rubbed the back of my skull sheepishly before frowning. "... THERE WAS A FIGURE. A TALL FIGURE. EVEN TALLER THAN I! THE GREAT PAPYRUS!" I explained. "I COULDN'T SEE HIS FACE. IN FACT... I COULDN'T SEE ANY OF HIM AT ALL! IT WAS ALMOST AS THOUGH... HE WAS A SHADOW." I squinted my eyes, nodding to myself as I continued on. "ALL HE TOLD ME WAS TO WAKE UP! THAT YOU WERE IN DANGER! AND THEN... HE WAS GONE."
KITTENS POV
The very moment Papyrus mentioned the tall shadow figure in his dream, I immediately knew who the true savior was. 'Gaster...' I thought with a faint smile. I'll have to thank him the next time we meet. But then again... how did he know of my predicament? Maybe what he told me was the truth. Maybe he really can see all. And... if he can...? Maybe... just maybe he can tell me what in the world got into Sans. What caused him to act so...
"Ah..." An involuntary shudder coursed through my body, a forced blush making its self known upon my cheeks. Again I looked down at the unconscious Skelly. He looked so... peaceful. But... at the same time, his face held a certain melancholy look. Sadness? Regret, maybe? 'Sans... what went wrong?' I felt my eyes grow misted, though I was quickly pulled back into reality as I realized Papyrus was still continuing to speak. I hoped I hadn't missed anything important.
"---AND AFTER THAT? WELL... I WOKE UP!" He stated with a shrug and a sigh, now looking very guilty. "NYOO... I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN SOONER. I COULD HAVE STOPPED HIM! I SHOULD HAVE... I-I SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!" His voice wavered as he continued to cleanse my wound. "I... I FAILED YOU. THE GREAT, NOT GREAT, PAPYRUS FAILED TO PROTECT YOU. I... I AM SO SORRY!" He quickly embraced me once again, and I could feel his chest and ribs tremble against my small form. It broke my heart to see him like this. I had to make it better!
"N-no no! Papyrus! Shhhh... i-it's alright!" I coed, rubbing his spine tenderly, comforting him as best as I could despite my lack of energy. "H-he didn't hurt me, you know. I-I mean... besides the bite. B-but other than that I was unharmed! Honest." I pulled back from the hug to look him in the eyes. Papyrus sniffled, clasping his hands around mine. "R-REALLY? -sniff- H-HE DIDN'T TRY TO EAT YOU? SLICE YOU? BEHEAD YOU INTO A HEAD-DOG?"
I blinked a few times with mild to severe confusion. "Erm..." I decided it would be best not ask. "N-no... nothing of the sort." I smiled slightly, cupping his cheek gently. "I promise, I am alright." After a few moments of sniffles and tears, he finally calmed back down just enough to breathe. "W-WELL... IF YOU SAY SO. BUT..." He suddenly looked thoughtful, intrigued. Confused, even. "IF SANS DIDN'T ATTEMPT TO KILL YOU, THEN... WHAT EXACTLY DID HE DO?"
My eyes widened at his question, and I felt my face flush with embarrassment, humiliation, and...-
"N-nothing, Papyrus. It's nothing. D-don't worry about it, a-alright?" I said with a sheepish smile, a shiver trailing up and down my spine. "NOTHING? B-BUT YOU NEEDED MY HELP! THE SHADOW MAN TOLD ME SO! HE-" Suddenly, he stopped. Froze in place, staring at... my neck. The covers had slipped down just enough to reveal the lower portion of my neck... the portion... in which Sans' collar now remained.
It was in that moment that his expression completely changed. His once worried and caring expression was now... blank. Emotionless. His features held no signs, but his eyes...? They weren't the same. No sparkle, no small white pupils of life. Just... hollow. Dark. Void of all light. Changed to the point where it almost frightened me. It did frighten me. "P...Papyrus...?" I asked nervously, slowly moving to touch his shoulder. "W-what's wrong? Wh... why are you---"
His speed was so immense, so unnatural, that I hadn't the time to even register what had just happened. At least not until a few seconds later when I was greeted by a glowing orange light mere centimeters from my face. His right eye was alight, flaming with such intensity that it could even rival Sans'. In an exhausted, dazed panic, I realized I could no longer feel the soft bed beneath my skin. But instead... I felt the warmth of bone and silk.
"P-Papyrus...?" I stuttered, eyes widened as I stared into his one glowing socket, my body visibly quivering with confusion and anxiety.
HORROR!PAPYRUS POV
The very moment I saw that collar around her neck, something within my damaged, tormented mind snapped. I could feel my eye burn and whisp with my magical energy as I looked deep into her eyes, all of the puzzle pieces now falling into place. So this is what my brother had been up to. He was trying to claim my human! 'My beautiful, precious... kitten...'
"HMM..." I pondered, arching a boney brow as I bit down on my right glove, pulling it off with my teeth before casting it aside. "KITTEN. WHAT SAY YOU AND I PLAY ANOTHER GAME?" In one swift movement, I curled my index finger around the loop of her new collar, giving it a sharp yet gentle tug, bringing her lips mere inches from my own. So to speak.
"A-ah...!" She gave a small mewl of protest and worry as she was pulled towards me. 'Nyeh heh heh... such a sweet sound~...' I fiddled with the loop a bit more, eagerly awaiting her reply. "A... a game?" She asked weakly, her body quivering in my lap, vibrating my bones. It felt rather pleasant. "YES, KITTEN. A GAME! JUST LIKE OUR LAST GAME... BUT WITH HIGHER STAKES... AND DIFFERENT RULES." I gave a somewhat evil laugh, smirking as she wriggled uncomfortably in my hold.
With a sigh of defeat she hung her head, too weak to protest anything anymore. "O-okay, Papyrus... I... I'll play..." I couldn't help but inwardly chuckle, shaking my head as I cupped her chin, lifting her gaze back up to meet mine. I gave her a tender smile, my eye flaring back down to normal, leaving her confused and unsure of my intentions. But she would soon see. After all! A great Puzzle Master, such as myself, never reveals their secrets. "WHAT SANS DID. PLEASE. TELL ME EVERYTHING."
Her eyes widened as wide as they could go, and I could tell she was embarrassed. But I had to know. I had to! That is... if I wanted to keep up with that Lazy Bones brother of mine. I watched as she began to think of where to start, what to say, how to begin... poor little Kitten was so distracted that she didn't even realize what I had done during my fiddling about with that new collar of hers. 'Mnyeh heh heh... you truly are a genius, Brother, but not as clever as I!' I mused to myself.
'Now... it's only a matter of time.'
