Chapter 19

*whispers* hi
time for suffering

I got my wisdom teeth out and im suffering so yall get too to *finger guns*

TW: violence, blood, overall torture mentally and physically

It gets pretty intense (for a story that's normally light-hearted) so I'm warning you now if you can't/want to read the scene it will come up again but in a different way and not so graphic, but this is necessary for the plot. It starts from after the recap and down into the first 'Lucy POV' (also all in italics). If you don't want to read it at all and want me to summarize what's going on, comment and ask me to and I will.

~Recap~

"No Mira, we can't invite everyone from the other guilds in Fiore for a baby shower"

"Lucy you don't understand. Nalu baby. Tiny dragon-slayer baby. Little celestial wizard. Everyone must come." Mira said dead serious, looking me in the eyes.

"How do you think everyone's going to react when they find out its twins?" Natsu whispered with a chuckle in my ear.

(Third Person POV)

'You fucking FAILURE!'

'You lost EVERYTHING'

'Couldn't even beat a simple girl with a sword!'

'WEAK'

'USELESS'

'TRAITOR'

'YOU BETRAYED YOUR BLOOD FOR THIS?!'

"Stop..... please....." A small, male voice  whimpered in the darkness.

The voices are everywhere
They don't stop
They don't stop
They don't stopdontdstopstopstOPSTOPSTOP

"SHUT UP!" the young boy shrieked

"Worthless little weakling!" A rough voice boomed in the darkness. There was a lashing sound, and a whimper came from the young boy.

More lashes sounded. Each time they hit impact, a small pained noise was ripped from the boy.

"You decided to join us and you FAILED! WE GAVE YOU THE POWER AND YOU LOST!" The dark voice yelled at the boy.

More lashes. The sound of dripping blood.

The scene turned angles. There was a man with pale skin, standing over the back of a boy (a teenager?) who had several bleeding marks on his back, which was littered with several other similar shaped scars.

The dark man stopped whipping the child. The teen fell onto his chest, silently weeping.

A large hand gently stroked through the boys hair. "That's a good pet.... you won't fail again, will you?" The man's voice was soft, but no less deadly.

The teenager leaned into his punishers hand, like a cat starving for affection. "No master, I will not fail you again." His young voice barely above a whisper.

The hand continued to run through his hair. "That's a good boy...."

(Lucy POV)
I woke up with a gasp. Sweat and shivers ran down my body.

'What a horrible nightmare' I thought to myself, taking deep breaths to calm my accelerated heart. 'It felt so real....'

I heard a soft groan beside me, and then an arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to a muscled chest. "Lucy? What's wrong?" Natsus voice was rough from sleep.

"Just....a nightmare. It was just a nightmare." I whispered to him, taking deep breaths of his scent. It always has helped me calm down.

Natsu hummed and put a finger under my chin, gently lifting my head so I looked at his. He was obviously still hazy from sleep; his eyes said it all. But even though they were hazy, they held just concern and love when he looked at me. My chest felt warm, looking into his onyx eyes.

"Do you want to talk about it?" His voice rumbled in his chest, making me shiver and move closer. I shook my head no and burried myself in his embrace again.

Natsu didn't say anything else but started to stroke my hair. I placed my hand on top of his over my stomach. My breathing and heart rate slowed down, and I fell back into the darkness.

~~~Morning~~~

After completing our morning routine, Natsu and I headed to the guild. I wanted to go on a job, low risk of course, but Natsu and his overbearing mother-dragoning me said no.

"Natsu I need to do SOMETHING! Being in this guild for so long has turned me into an adrenaline junkie!" I snapped at him, anger filling my chest like a balloon.

"Luce I know. But even a low risk job could cause harm to you and the babies. I don't want you three to get hurt. I can handle the jobs until the twins are born, and then we can go on our adventures as before." Natsu said calmly as we stood outside the guild doors. The balloon popped. Why did I get so angry over that?

"I-" I started

"TWINS?!" Someone shouted in front of us. We both froze and slowly looked at the door. Erza was standing there with her jaw dropped. When I glanced around her, I could see everyone else in the guild looking the same.

"Err... surpise?" Natsu and I said in unison.
