40. Escape

Chorong's POV

Why are they still looking at me? Oh please~ let this issue end.

They weren't looking at me like this when I was being bullied before. People were even avoiding me. Why are they like this all of a sudden?

"You're early today, Chorong."

It's Minah and her minions approaching me.

I stood in the middle of the hall staring at them, trying to get ready for whatever is going to happen while secretly clenching my fist.

They surrounded me. Minah twirled her finger around strands of my hair. "How long has it been since our first encounter? Do you remember?"

She is even chewing a gum. I kept quiet still.

"Have you gone mute? Why aren't you answering me back now?"

Her minions all laughed with their arms crossed. Are they some kind of 'reaction-audience' in a live variety program?

"Ah! You were so brave that time because Tao was beside you. You wanted him to see how tough a girl you are. Huh! You seduced him that way? I heard you even had a date with him.. was that because of your tough image?"

Where did this girl get her news? No one knows about that date, if that's considered a date, except for my friends who I am sure are faithful to me, and Minseok Oppa.

"Well, I just passed by to tell you this." And that plastic smile turned into a scary glare. "Do not belittle me. I can do more than what you can think of."

Then they left. More than being scared, I wanna laugh at how they made an exit. So the hallway can be a runway. If their attitudes aren't like that, they're a high class catch for guys. I would even 'woah' for them even if I'm a girl.

"Chorong-ah! Omoya!" Bomi came running towards me with Chen. "Don't pass here! The other way!"

Both of them are pushing me to go back and take the other hallway.

"Wae geurae? (What's the matter?)"

"Nothing. Nothing." Chen answered, but it seemed like they are hiding something.

"I don't believe you." I went straight pushing them aside.

"Yah! Chorong-ah! No, you can't!" Bomi still trying hard to block my way while Chen is pulling me.

"What are you two doing? Wae?!" I'm still trying to walk pass them.

But I heard Kris voice echoed. "WHO DID THIS?!"

I ran towards it. They weren't able to stop me anymore.

Yes, they were right. I shouldn't have come and seen it.

"Chorong-ah.." Kris was stunned to see me.

Pictures of me with Tao in Namsan, and my dinner with Kris was all over the announcement board. And it says, "She wagged her tail to seduce our school's captains."

"Chorong-ah.." Kris held my shoulders. "They are not true. You know that. Trust me, I'll find out who"s doing all of this."

I removed his hands from my shoulders forcedly. I looked at him straight in the eyes. "Stop this and these will stop."

"Park Chorong!" I heard Eunji called me as I ran away from that corridor.

I ran away...

ran away out from school...

ran away from everything.

Being involved with Kris, it takes a lot of courage.

I was too ignorant about his power and influence in this school that time that I had that courage to go against him.

I was an idiot when I let my heart fall for him, and see him as a man. I was totally insane.

But walking in this hall, hearing people talk about me, being confronted by those girls that are after him, seeing people post messages online as if I am not existing... it frightens me more.

What do I need to endure more in the future if I let my heart do what it wants?
