46. Food

I might update again after a week. Got loads of stuff to do starting tomorrow until the weekend. Kkaeb song readers~ (Baek says kkaeb song could mean sorry, right?)

So I'll update as long as I can today. I'm typing this at midnight. Hope I don't fall asleep since I was too tired from a toxic duty.

Chorong's POV

"Annyeong!"

We all were stunned at the person who suddenly joined us in the table for lunch, sitting at the vacant seat just beside me.

"Kris Hyung?" even Chen can't believe his eyes.

"Oppa, what are you doing here?" asked Bomi.

He smiled. "I'm having lunch with you guys."

We all looked at each other at this sudden weird turn of events.

Eunji stood. "Wait." arms on her waist. "Are you sick? Why are you having lunch with us? Where are your bodyguards?"

He gave a small laugh. "Sehun will complain hearing that 'bodyguard' word."

"Yah!" Chanyeol glaring at Eunji. "We aren't Kris hyung's bodyguards. We're his friends."

"HA HA HA." a sarcastic laugh. "Friends my ass."

"Yah!" Chanyeol complaining with a full mouth throwing a piece of carrots he is eating.

Eunji rolled her eyes and threw him her milk box.

"Enough guys." I said to stop their quarrel. I faced Kris with a questioning look. "What are planning to do again?"

He's already eating his foos when he answered. "Spending time with the people I wanna be friends with.. aside from Chen and Chanyeol who are already my friends."

Chanyeol snorted. "Don't mention it, hyung."

"Let's change tables." while standing up taking my tray with me.

"Nice game yesterday, Oppa." Na Eun praised him, ignoring me.

Eunji is now sitting on her chair as well. "But yesterday I think it wasn't your best game."

"Hyung was just being humble yesterday." Chen joined in.

"Nah~" Kris answered. "I was distracted by someone yesterday." And his eyeing on me.

What does he suppose to mean? That I ruined his game? That he couldn't concentrate because I was there? So it's my fault now?

"It's just that... that someone's presence affects me so much."

Eunji faked a cough. I know she trying to get my attention.

I just don't understand Eunji. At one second she protects me like a real friend, and then one second after, she feeds me to the prey. Is she on my side or his side? So ambivalent! Grrrr~

I didn't sit back. I put my tray on the next table and started eating by myself.

And just right before I swallow my food, Kris is already in front of me with his tray.

"Ahuh! errgh~" the food got stuck in my throat. But I already finished my milk and I don't have water.

It's hard to breath. I coughed and hit my chest.

"Kwenchanha? (are you okay?) Did you even chew your food?!" anger could be heard in his voice.

Kris stood up and I didn't realize, his hands were already ---

Pause.

Shocked.

I looked at where his arms are.

I didn't even notice that I already threw up the food from my throat.

Kris's POV

I had to perform Heimlich maneuver to Chorong when I saw her having difficulty in breathing while eating.

Phew! This girl is really~ haist!

(Heimlich Maneuver: It's an emergency procedure done when a person got throat obstruction due to food, where the arms of the one performing are positioned around the patient's chest and heel of his hands on the middle of the chest or the sternum, pushing it inwards to use force to move the obstruction upwards).

But right after I've managed to push the food out of her throat, I realized that...

I was backhugging her.

And my arms are around her.. Chest?

I saw the horror on her face when she realized the same thing as I did.

Blood ran towards my head in embarrassment. I immediately got away from her. I am sure she was more embarrassed than I do.

"Chorong-ah. Kwenchana?" Eunji asked her. "See? Because you changed tables. Haist!"

I saw her eyeing on me, but changed gazes.

I'm really screwed. My 'Operation Befriends with Chorong' is so busted now.
