Kris's POV

"Argh!" I almost fainted with pain. I can't take it. My ankle hurts so much. I landed on my right foot and twist it after I successfully dunk Tao's 3-point shoot attempt for our win.

"Oppa, kwenchana? Apa? Eodie?" I heard her ask. How did she come here? But more than the pain from my ankle I am experiencing right now, her presence took more of my attention. I smiled at her.

Then there...

She embraced me.

And I felt that cold wet substance ran down my neck.

Is she crying?

"O-op-pa!" Her trembling voice.

The first aider came, and told her to give way.

Worry is drawn on her face like she didn't wanna move.

I reached for her hand. "I'm fine."

"Rong-ah. Let's go." Tao took her away. She quietly followed while I was maintaining my eye contact with her.

We won the game, I injured my ankle..

I don't care, though.

I think I just won her.

Yes, that was Chorong..

Her voice lingered.

"Mr. Wu!!" How many times did the first aider called my name? I dunno. "Doesn't it hurt?"

"It does." I answered shortly.

"Then why are you smiling?"

How couldn't I smile? Right?

Tao's POV

"Let's go." I pulled Chorong away.

This feeling..

..when I wanna pull her not just away from the court, but away..

far away..

..where they can't be together.

But as I dragged her away, she resists, and managed to pull her arm off my grip.

"Chorong.." that's all I could say.

Her head and attention still in the middle of the court.

I breathe in and out. "He will be fine." Though I don't wanna talk about Kris at this moment.

"I know." She answered not looking at me. "But I don't wanna leave his side."

Ouch. Those words are pierced my heart like thorns.

"You know how will people treat you if you come near him. They will treat you badly. Your life won't be normal. Beside him is like choosing hell, Chorong." I didn't know how I said those. Those sentences immediately just escaped my mouth.

"Thank you for your concern, Tao.."

Guilt. I said those not due to concern. I said those for my greed to stop her. Stop what, I know, fate had already planned. Wishing that with this one little evil doing, I might be able change that.

But like rubbing salt to my already wounded heart, she faced me with sincere teary eyes, "Please help me... be with him.. even just today.."
