Kris's POV

I woke up and saw her sleeping beside me with her head on her arms.

I felt bad that she has to suffer that way. But it felt good that I could see her face as soon as I opened my eyes.

Never thought this day would ever come.

I tucked strands of her hair that are covering her face at the back of her ear.

She woke up.

I panicked. It felt awkward, though I like the feeling, I'm clueless on what to do.

Pretending, that's all I can think of. I pretended to still be sleeping.

"Yah! I saw you already." I heard her said. Still, I continued pretending. If I woke up, what will I say?

Poor little boy. My inner self is mocking me.

"O-op-pa.."

The sound of that call.

My eyes, like it has its own life, quickly opened and looked at her.

She smiled at me. "Do you want breakfast other than the hospital food? I'll go out--"

"No!" An immediate reaction when I heard the word out. "You can't leave. Just stay."

She nodded. "Okay."

Then she stood up, got the bed table and put it on top of my bed. "They delivered the food a while ago, but I didn't wake you up. It might be cold now."

I look at the food on the table. I never liked hospital food. They taste so bland.

"Aaaaah."

The slice of egg is already in front of my mouth, and Chorong is trying to feed me.

When will I ever have the chance of Chorong feeding me like this?

So I opened my mouth and ate.

The egg doesn't taste bland.

She continued feeding me tofu, soup, rice... everything on the table.

"They don't taste bland." I didn't know I already verbalized my thoughts.

She chuckled. "They don't give bland food to people who only got injured ankle."

"Are you sure?"

She nodded.

I tried to remember how the food taste a year ago, when I was sent here for an ankle injury as well. Same ankle I injured this time.

They don't taste good. I am sure of it.

"Ah! I know why!" with my index finger pointing upward.

"Ah! I know why!" She imitated me laughing.

"Yah!"

She gave me an innocent face. "What?"

I gave her a straight face, but she's still laughing. When did I ever see Chorong laugh like that? She's just so lovely.

"Are you still gonna laugh at me?" I asked her with a serious face.

"Ah! I know why!" imitating me again. "That was so funny, oppa!" still laughing.

"Yah. If you don't stop laughing, I'm gonna kiss you."

She was immediately put into a halt. I smirked. "So the kiss still haunts you?"
