15. Band practice

"Hey get up". You groan and roll over, burying you head in your pillow. "Come on (Y/n) its time to get up". You pull the blankets over your head. Kakuzu sighs. "If you don't get up I will carry you down stairs". You pull the blankets off your face and sleepily smile at him, reaching out your arms. "Carry me". He chuckles and gently kisses your cheek before picking you up bridal style, carrying you out of the room. You cuddled into his chest, inhaling his familiar scent. "You smell nice", you whisper. "Stop smelling me", he chuckles poking your nose. You scrunch up your face and let out a small sneeze. "Your adorable". "No you are", you argue. He puts you down, supporting your weight with his arm. He tries to walk away but you just hug him. "Your so warm", you giggle. "Come on (Y/n) you can hug me later, we need to have breakfast". You sigh and walk over to the kitchen, using the wall to support yourself. "Morning love birds", Jodi giggles. You smile at her and ruffle Ella's hair. "Why are you always flirting?", Ella asks, an adorable scowl on her face. "I dunno, I just can't help myself", you wink. She sticks out her tongue, then is given a playful punch by her mother. "If (Y/n) and Kazu get married she will be your sister", Jodi chuckles. Ella's eyes light up and she hugs you. "Please marry Kazu and be my sister", she says into your chest. Your face goes bright red and your nervously smile down at Ella. "Sure". She cheers and returns to her breakfast. Kakuzu thankfully wasn't paying any attention, he had zoned out.

You both arrived at school only to be greeted by the girls. "Ahhhh I can't get used to you two, you are just so cute!", screams Konan. You nervously smile and wave to the girls. "I'm having a party at my house this weekend!". "Cool, whose coming?", you ask. "You know just the usual squad", she smirks. "Konan are you just trying to set people up?", you ask, raising an eyebrow. She smirks. "Maybe". "H-hey (Y/n) have you and Kisame written your song yet?", Hinata asks. You shake your head. "Nope, we just have to come up with the lyrics". "Well I can't wait to watch", Tenten cheers. "What do you mean 'watch'?". "Well every pair in your class preforms their song, anyone is free to come and watch", she said. You sweat dropped. You only wanted your music class to see you, not the entire school or the internet. "I-I think you will do well (Y/n)", Hinata smiles. You smile back, gently nodding your head. You had thought of possible things you could sing about but you couldn't decide. Love, hate or maybe even betrayal. But no, there was something else, restriction. You wanted to do all these things in your life except there was your mother and your brother holding you back. You just wanted to be free, a free bird. Your eyes widened and you pulled out your music book, the girls stared at you with raised eyebrows. "Are you alright there?", Konan asks. You smile and pull them into a big hug. "I have an idea for the song!", you yelled excitedly. They giggle at your sudden energy. "No need to let the world know", Tenten mutters rolling her eyes. "Don't be so salty, this is great!". The girls watch as you run into school, a giant grin on your face.

Time skip

It was the last period of the day, time for music. You heard the bell go and you ran to music dragging Kisame behind you. "What is so important?", he sighed. "I've written the song", you announce. "Can I see?", Sasori asks. "Nope, its gonna be a surprise". He rolls his eyes and goes to sit next to Pein. You hand him your book and his eyes wander the pages. A smile appears on his face and he hugs you. "You are a genius Blue", he chuckles, ruffling your hair. "Sasori told me that you finished your song, can we hear it?", Pein asks. You smile. "Yeah I will show you at and practice". He nods and walks off, Kakuzu staring at you from the other side of the classroom. "So what do you think should come next?", Tayuya asks him. He doesn't reply, he was to busy staring at you. "Hey Kazu are you there?", she waves her hand in front of his face. He sighs and looks at her. "Don't call me that". Tayuya nods, her cheeks tinted pink. You skip over to Kakuzu and give him a closed eye smile. "Hey Kazu I'm gonna show you all my song after band practice", you smile. He smiles up at you, pulling you down onto his lap. "K-kazu not at school", you blush. "This morning you wouldn't leave me alone", he chuckles. You hug his arms and lay back on him. He nuzzles his face in your hair, softly inhaling. "You smell nice", he whispers. You stand up as he loosens his arms, but he pulls you back onto his lap. He hugs you tightly from behind. "Your so warm". You sigh. "Oi stop mocking me you ass". He chuckles and lightly pecks your check. "Are you two done yet?!", Tayuya growls. You turn and give her a closed eye smile. "Sorry I was just stealing your partner, anyway I'm gonna go see my blue boy", you say getting up. You look back over at Tayuya, the kind smile still on your face. "Your hair looks nice today", you compliment before walking off. "T-thank you", she whispers. Kakuzu raises an eyebrow, you turn slightly giving him an evil smirk. "What did you do to Tayuya?", Kisame asks. You smile sweetly and sit next to him and the other two Akatsuki. "I just gave her a compliment, why?". You turned back around to see Tayuya staring at you, her cheeks bright pink. "I think someones got a crush on you", Kisame sang wiggling his eyebrows. You gave him a sideways glance. "Yeah I'm just gonna leave my boyfriend for a girl who used to have a crush on him", you say sarcastically. Kisame ruffles your hair, you slap his hand away. "Will you stop doing that, it is really annoying and hard to fix", you growl. He holds up his hands in a defensive way, surrendering. You roll your eyes and began reading through the song.

The bell rang and the students sprinted out of school. You walked with Kakuzu to the other Akatsuki who were waiting in the parking lot. "I though there were only five of us in the band", you say. "There are but the others just come to support and hang out", Pein says in a bored voice. You nod and look over at Kisame who is standing next to Itachi. Both are looking away, with pink/purple cheeks. Pein had Konan, Tobi, Zetsu, Sasori and himself in his car. Kisame and Itachi in the blue boys. In Kakuzu's it was you, Kakuzu, Hidan and Deidara. "Don't let it get too steamy in there", you hint, playfully nudging Kisame. He ruffles you hair and you growl at him. The drive was quite long, Pein didn't live close to school. "Are we nearly there?", you ask. Kakuzu shakes his head and ruffles your hair with his free hand. "Why do you do this?", you sigh. "I'm bored put the radio on, un". Kakuzu sighs and turns on the radio, loud music fills the car. "This my fucking Jam!", Hidan yells. You giggle and sing along with the boys in the back. Kakuzu smiles, giving you a side ways glance. Your voice fills the car, the boys in the back singing as well but not as loud as you. "You should sing in the band, un", Deidara says. You smile, shrugging your shoulders. "Um I dunno, isn't Pein the singer?". Deidara nods. "Just do it bitch, you can sing along with Pein", swears the over excited Jashinist. You roll you eyes and stare out the window, watching the trees go by.

Finally you arrived. "Ugh Pein why do you live so far away?", you complain. He just shrugs and goes to make out with Konan on the hood of his car. Kakuzu leads you over to a large garage where there is band equipment set up. "This is where we practice", Kakuzu announces. You smile and run over, admiring all of the equipment. Pein detaches himself from his girlfriend and walks over, hands in his pockets. "What songs do you know?", he asks you. You give him a large closed eye smile. "I can play anything, I'm a quick learner". He nods and pulls out a piece of sheet music. "Do ya think you can do this?". You look over the notes, then nod. He hands you a guitar and all get into position. Kakuzu in the back, Pein in the front, Sasori on the left, Kisame on the right and you just stood next to Kisame. "1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4". You looked down at the sheet of music, this one wasn't too difficult. Pein had also told you that you were doing the guitar solo. For these guys it might've been a bit difficult but for you it was easy. Kisame stopped and it was just you, letting music on the sheet into your body and then to your fingers. Running up and down the strings. When you finished the song Konan ran over and gave you a hug. "Wow that was soooooo gooooood!", she fangirled. You winked at her and began playing around with the guitar, just playing random songs, the others sat down and listened.

After a couple hours of practice you knew every song that the Akatsuki did, you were all exhausted. "Hey (Y/n) can we here the song?", Sasori asks. You sigh and pull your music book out of your bag. You look up and gesture Kisame over. "OK you do your bit, I'll do mine and I will sing". He nods and picks up a guitar, he sits down next to you. You tap your foot to the beat, letting Kisame know that your about to start.

You sigh as you play the last chord, you look over and see Konan crying. "Oh my god, that was so beautiful", she cried. You got up and hugged her, tears soaking your shirt. She wiped her eyes and spun you around, then dipped you. You giggled and joined in, spinning her and then dipping. The boys just watched you dance with raised eyebrows. "Whats up with them?", Zetsu asks. The rest shrug their shoulders. "Tobi heard that Konan-chan is throwing a party on Saturday!", he yelled. Konan and yourself walked back over to the boys. "Yeah I'm throwing a party", she smirked deviously. The boys knew something was up, but none dared to ask. You walked over to Kakuzu and sat on his lap, resting your head on his shoulder. "Whats up?", he asks. You groan. "I'm tired". "Well lets get home", he chuckles, picking you up bridal style. He walks you both over to the car, sitting you in the passenger seat. Deidara and Hidan hop in the back, staring at you. "Bitch wake up". "I don't want too". You hear in him sigh and sit back in his seat. He taps you on the shoulder, you ignore it. He does it again, you continue to ignore it. The third time enrages you. "If I bring you a surprise on Saturday will you leave me alone", you growl. "Sure thing sugar tits", he smirks. "Leave my tits alone". Kakuzu glares at Hidan and rests his free hand on yours. You intertwine your fingers and fall asleep.
