I'll Always Be There (Kakashi x Reader)

You and Kakashi had been friends since you were little. You would play with him at the academy and you would often train with him as well.

During the war, you were stabbed in the back which shocked your chakra system meaning you could never use any chakra, or in other words, you couldn't be a ninja anymore. It broke your spirit,...your very will.

This is what had occurred. You were assigned to Minato Sensei's team to help out. While attempting to carry on the mission by yourselves without Minato, Rin was abducted. Obviously Obito and yourself went after her and Kakashi was as stubborn as ever.

While fighting, Kakashi majestically appeared to help fight. Well, when the three of you were attending to Rin, the three of you were attacked causing rocks to cave-in on the three of you. Well to save Kakashi's life you and Obito had leapt together causing him to be pushed out of the way.

A boulder fell on Obito's side and a rock fell on you spinal cord. Moving aside Obito gave Kakashi his Sharingan eye and Kakashi and Rin had gotten the rock off of you. Kakashi grabbed the both of you and jumped onto the roof and the delt with the mess of ninja...or at least he tried.

When you had returned from the war you were placed into the hospital and we're told never to be a ninja again. Even if you tried the amount of pressure would hurt you too much that you would put you body into a shock. You were there for months and you later heard of Rin's death and not once did Kakashi see you.

The pain from the incident made you have extreme back pain and it's a miracle that you can even walk. Another centimeter and you would've died.

He would occasionally send letters but after awhile stopped talking to you after the incident. Although you were lucky he never came around. You talked to some others and they all told you the same, he was busy. Of course he was he's a ninja.

After that you gave up on him. You started to work as a citizen and became a chef. With being a chef it got the sadness off your back and made you look into the future. It kept you distracted.

Lately you heard that Kakashi has a team. You were truly happy for him. You were happy to hear that but your heart still hurt. You missed talking to him but that was a long time ago.

Today was your busiest crowd. You were cooking like no tomorrow. When the crowd settled down you took your break. Walking into the dining area you noticed three kids at the counter.

"What do you serve here?" A kid with blonde hear wearing an orange ninja suit asked. You kept walking until one of your employees stopped you.

"Ms Y/N aren't you cooking today?" She asked from the counter were the kids were.

"I am is just I have to take a break. Have Nico fill in for me. Also can you bring me my medicine and an ice pack please," you answer while looking for a spot yo sit.

"Sure thing," she bows and then left. You the resume looking for a place until you found it. After sitting down the employee brought what you asked for plus water.

Before you could relax the kids from earlier stand in front of you making you see the closely. A spiky blonde boy with blue eyes wearing a orange ninja suit. To his left is a boy with dark raven duck like hair with black eyes wearing a blue shirt and a cream color shorts. Finally, a girl with short pink hair and green eyes wearing a red ninja like kimono with black shorts underneath.

"Yes?" You ask as they stare at you.

"Are you the cook?" The blonde asks with awe clear in his voice.

"Yes, and I'm also the owner," you answer with a joy. You were mesmerized by these kids. These...ninjas.

"Really!?!" The pink haired girl gasps. She looked as shocked as the blonde.

"Yes. Now are you hungry?" You ask the three before they could answer their stomachs growled answering for them. "Here, sit. Order anything you'd like, it's my treat."

"Thanks," the three said at once. After looking the three ordered some thing.

"What are your names?" You ask.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki!"

"Sakura Haruno."

"Sasuke Uchiha."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Y/N L/N," you say then remembering what you were doing. You took your medicine and placed the ice pack on your stab wound. Since it hit the nerve it hurts like hell some times and the ice helps bring the swelling down and ease the pain.

"Were you injured?" Sasuke asks as he observes you.

"I was...a long time ago," you mumble softly hoping to escape the pain.

"I'm so sorry Y/N," Sakura apologizes.

"It's okay. My only advise for you kids is always watch your surroundings. If not, you could get hurt," you advise.

"Huh?"

"There you guys are," a deep voice intervenes.

"Kakashi Sensei!" They exclaim. Your eyes widden as you see him. Your eyes follow where they are looking and you saw him. You haven't spoken to him in years.

"Kakashi...," you mumbled under your breath. He was looking the same old Kakashi except he covered his eye with his headband protecter. He also was wearing a joinin uniform and was a lot taller than before.

"Hello," he says casually,"I'm sorry I'm late I ran into a black cat and had to take the longer path."

"Yeah right Kakashi Sensei," Sakura scolds. He was scratching the back of his head and then his eyes met yours and you held in the pain. After all you saved his life.

"Who're you ma'am?" He asks politely. As he resented his hands in his pockets.

"I'm the owner. If you'll excuse me I'm needed back," you rush attempting to get away from him. As you were walking you felt a hand on your shoulder.

"Are you Y/N?" He kindly asks.

"Who?" You attempt to play dumb, you didn't want to see him after all this time. He looked intensely into your eyes as you held your breath hoping he wouldn't recognize you. His beautiful eye observed closely on you. His eyes filled with so much warmth that it made you unconsciously let the tears fall. His eye grew in shock and his face filled with guilt and pain.

He hugged you gently and let tears roll from his eye. He held you close, gently, and in a firm grip. He didn't want to let go. He missed you and you missed him.

"I'm so sorry Y/N," he began.

"Kakashi...its okay, it happened a long time ago," you hushed. He looked down to your eyes seeing hope and love. The warmth of you was so calming, he never wanted to let go.

"I should've..." He trailed. You grabbed his face forcing him to look at you.

"I forgive you. I never blamed you I just wished you'd see me," you explain in a soft voice.

"Y/N...," his eyes wide and you the kissed his cheek making his emotions mad at you for making the go crazy. He then smirked--yiu just tell I mean it's Kakashi-- and looked at you dead in the eye. "You missed."

"Oops maybe you should try harder at your pick-up lines," you returner his smirk. His students were laughing so hard and each gave you a high five.

"How about this...Can I tie your shoes because I can't have you falling for someone else," he sincerely says and then smirked.

"No because if I fell if wouldn't be for you," you roasted,"are you candy? Because every time I see you I smile."

"You know what this is," He grabbed your shirt pulling your body close before whispering in your ear," this is girlfriend material."

"...yes...," you replied moments later with a blush.

"I'll always be here," he said before giving you a kiss and then held your hand as you two walked away.
