My Love (Itachi x Rival! Reader)

  Itachi Uchiha. The very mention of his name was enough to set you off.

  You see, you are as powerful and strong as the Uchiha. You could easily keep up with him but then everything became a rivalry. He would constantly get the attention so you tried to do everything better. He and you were not on good terms because of the rivalry. That's why sometimes Pein would send both of you on a mission together. Today is no different.

  Pein has sent Itachi and you on a "search and capture" type mission. The one you were after was a diplomat for the kages. This meant if you held him the Akatsuki could get important information. You stealthily sat in a tree away from the Uchiha. He was on the other side looking out for the diplomat.

"There," you say quietly. Itachi looked where you were pointing and sure enough there was the horse-drawn carriage with the diplomat inside. You and Itachi made your move to him. Reaching the carriage, Itachi used his Sharingan to torture the low ninja in a gen jutsu. You made your way to the door and was about to step in when you were stabbed in the back.

"Gah!" You screamed. The person behind you grabbed your waist and threw you away from the carriage. You back collided with a hard tree deepening the blade currently in you. Your vision was hazy and all you could do was lay there. All the energy left your body. What a lame excuse of a ninja, you thought to yourself.

"Y/N L/N, daughter of D/N L/N. You were once the favorite daughter of V/N," the man growled.

"I am not your property! Everyone wanted to control me in V/N and it's sickening. All you ever do is try to use me like I'm some kind of doll. I am not going to be controlled!" You yelled furiously. You fought the nausea and stood up threw the pain. Your eyes flashed and you attacked your enemy.

  You kicked him to the ground and began to kick his ass. The energy flowing three your veins shocked Itachi. After a fatal stab wound you were able to stand and fight which made Itachi wonder just how strong your will is. He knew the rivalry between the two of you was stupid but he liked you. He liked you since you joined but even still. How could he be so blind to not protecting you? He blamed himself for letting the man slip pass him.

  You landed the last blow which knocked him out. Looking around you saw Itachi with the diplomat in hand. Relieved by this, your body gave in and the energy left as quick as it came. The once strength you hand left as well. You were looking too much blood too quick. Itachi saw this and pinned the diplomat and knocked him out. We don't need him running off now do we?

"Y/N," Itachi's soft words made you glance at him before passing out. His gentle hands removed the blade and he meticulously stitched your wound. It wouldn't last more than a few days but it would let you live. He created a clone of himself and the clone carried the diplomat and he carried you.

  Hours later he arrived at the base and he gave Pein the diplomat. He then explained everything. Pein ordered him to look after you, which made Itachi happy on the inside. Itachi layed you on his bed and made sure you were warm enough. He gently smoothed down your hair and kissed your forehead.

"Live for me, Y/N," he whispered. He left the room to find something to clean your wound. When he came back you were awake.

"Itachi. . .," you said weakly.

"Yes?"

"You stayed with me, why?" You asked  making his heart hurt.

"Because you're my friend," he smiled. Just a friend!?! Wow Itachi, wow. You liked him but clearly he doesn't like you.

"So. . .we're friends?"
You asked.

"I presume so," you grabbed his hand and forced him closer to you. Being bold, you kissed him. He didn't kiss back so you pulled away finding yourself with a blushing Uchiha.

"Awe you're blushing," he then smirked and whispered something dirty in your ear making you blush harder than him.

"Awe you're blushing," he teased.

"S-s-shut up," he smirked at your current state.

"Do you like me?"

"Isn't it obvious?" you ask.

"Yes but I wanna hear your answer. Say it," he commanded.

"Fine. I love you, Itachi Uchiha," he smiles at you which is a rare sight.

"Only my rival can make me smile," he stated.

"Uchiha I think I'm no longer your rival," you hint.

"Very well L/N. You're my friend," he said.

"Itachi. . .come on!"

"Fine, Y/N. Will you be my girlfriend?" He finally asked.

"Yes!" You cheered.

"It seems you're feeling better love," as he said this he played with your hair.

"Yes I am. It's because you're here," smiling brightly he poked your forehead.

"I'm glad. If Hidan harasses you notify me at once. I will annihilate him for you because you're my love."
