Guide Me (Kakashi x Blind! Reader)

 D/N= Dog's Name

You always had trouble with your vision. Everyone in the village knew that and helped any way the could. Sadly that wasn't enough to stop the nonfatal tumors behind your eyes.

  The days flew by faster than you could imagine. When the day came for you to get the surgery, your best friend Kakashi was there for you. The two of you waited patiently in the hospital's lobby. The Lord Hokage herself was going to operate on you. The fear seept in and you held Kakashi's hand as the minutes slowly passed on.

"Y/N L/N," your name was called and you slowly rose and left to get the operation.

"Good morning Y/N how are you feeling?" One of the nurses asked.

"Good morning and my body is feeling fine but I'm terrified," you answered honestly. You sat on the bed and the Hokage walked in. Slowly she prepped you and the knocked you out. After the gas settled in you slept and darkness was now the only thing you see.

  Your body awoke and you couldn't see a thing. Feeling terrified you reached out and held onto whatever was closest which happened to be a gentle pillow. The fear of the dark made you timid and scared.

"Y/N Its okay you're home," you heard his voice.

"Kakashi is that you?" You called your heart racing with fear.

"Yes," you didn't have to see to know he felt bad for you.

"Kakashi where are you?" You wanted to know you weren't alone.

"I'm here," he softly said as he grabbed your hand. Moving your other hand, your hand moved to finding him. His hand guided you closer to him and you let your hand travel from his chest to his face. You felt the rough texture of what you assumed was his mask that he wore.

"Kakashi I am so scared," your voice shaked in fear. You felt him move slightly and he moved your hand a little. He then placed your hand back on to his cheek which was now uncovered you assumed.

"You don't have to be I'm here and I'm not leaving," he stated. His hand held your waist as he pulled you close.

"I wish I could've seen your real face before the surgery," you sighed.

"I'm sorry Y/N, can I make it up to you?" He asked in such as sad tone you wanted to hug him and make it better.

"Yes but how can you--" you were interrupted by something soft and tender on your lips. You felt warmth radiating from the source, when it moved against you, you realized it was Kakashi's lips. You kissed him back in a soft manner. His hand went to the nape of your neck supporting your head. He moved his other hand down to your waist gently running his hand up and down. You wrapped your arms around him not wanting to let go. His touch was enough to send your heart racing but now it was on fire. He pulled away and rested his forehead on yours. "I have something for you."

"What is it?" You inquired, the heavy scent of dog and fur hit your nose better than you could imagine. "Is that a dog?"

"Yes it is! I think it's true. If you lose one sense the others strengthen," he commented before leading your hand to the dog. "Her/His name is D/N. I picked her/him out for you, s/he's a service dog."

"Really? Thank you so much Kakashi! Hi sweetie I'm Y/N and we're going to be good friends," you smiled as you ruffled D/N's soft fur.

"You're welcome. Here I'll tell you his/her commands," Kakashi explained in full detail what she would do with a certain command. E.g. search, the dog will look for specified object or person of command.

"Wow thank you, I can't believe all of the many commands s/he has," you were so astonished by D/N.

"Well s/he's the first step to our family," he muttered under his breath but you heard as clear as day.

"I heard that Hatake," you commented.

"I know," you face-palmed at his attitude. His hands grabbed your waist and pulled you in. You inhaled his scent and in an instant were reminded what had happened earlier. The feeling of his lips was still there. You could still feel his soft breathing on your skin. You were drawn out of the dark memory as the feeling of Kakashi kissing you again. This time he was even softer and you could feel his love your you without him having to show or explain it.

  You adjusted yourself by pulling his waist closer to yours. Your arms naturally wrapped around his neck and your hands ran through his soft hair. All though you couldn't see you still remembered the beauty of his odd hair. He then gently pushed you to the ground kissing you lightly. His lips moved to your chin and down your neck in a light trail.

"I love you," he said pulling away.

"I love you too. Maybe being blind isn't so scary when you're here," you giggled.

"Of course, I am Kakashi if the Sharingan after all. The copy-cat ninja," he lingered with his nickname.

"No you aren't," you stated.

"Wh--"

"You are Kakashi Hatake, Y/N's man and if anyone wants to argue," you whistled summoning D/N," then I'll get her/him to (your funny code for attack. Mine is sick 'em)."

"I think I like that," he played with strands of your hair," and you're Y/N L/N the love of my life. Well, except Icha Icha you're going to have to make room for them." You playfully hit his arm while giggling to his joke.

"Guide me," you demanded.

"For as long as I breathe."
