Remain by Your Side (Gaara x Androphobic! Reader)

Androphobia is the fear of men

The day he became Kazekage was the greatest day of his life. He not only got what he wanted he also met you, Y/N L/N. A strange, beautiful, and shy ninja.

That day you were assigned to him by his council, your job is to assist in any and all ways you are able. Sdo basically you're his secretary but not. Everyone knew you are shy but you hold a deep secret.

"Good morning my lord," you greet as you enter the room. Today absolutely terrified you. As you can see, you are androphobic. A person who fears men. This was because of your past.

"Good morning Y/N," he replied. You and him have been working together closely. You've grown to be less fearful of him but even still the fear lingers.

"What would you like me to do first my Lord?" You ask. You feared today because you heard a rumor that a certain person from your past returned to Suna.

"Help me with paperwork, then get me some coffee if you don't mind, " he gently replies.

"On it my Lord," you weren't too scared of Gaara. He has changed so much which thou believe is a good thing. You actually aren't too scared to be around him at all. You finished the paperwork and made him coffee. You were almost there when Kankuõ ran into you causing you to spill coffee and fall down.

"Oh my bad, sorry Y/N," he half-heartedly apologized. He scares you. Maybe it's the paint or his puppets but he scares you.

"I-it's okay. I-i-it is my fault," you stutter out of fear.

"I'm assuming this was for Gaara. I'll tell him what happened please go make some more," you didn't need to be told twice. You left faster than light. After you remade the coffee you made sure to be extra careful. You didn't want to upset him. When you finally returned Gaara and Kankuõ were in conversation but stopped when they saw you enter.

"H-h-here you go," you timidly handed the coffee to him. You stood awkwardly and fearfully. Your heart pounded against you chest. You know of how Kankuõ behaves around women. Filthy womanizer.

"Thank you Y/N. You can go home if you'd like," Gaara said sweetly.

"Thank you Lord Kazekage," you bowed and then left.

As you were walking home, a hand wrapped over your mouth and dragged you into an ally. The person pinned you against the wall and kept you quite. It was three men. Your heart pounded even faster. They terrified you.

"Hello doll," the familiar voice said. He is here.

"Something seems off," Gaara randomly says catching his brothers attention.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I'm not sure but something is off. Something is off about Y/N too," Gaara leaned forward in his chair trying to think what was wrong.

"She isn't home," Temari said as she entered.

"What?" Both Gaara and Kankuõ exclaim at the same time.

"Y/N she isn't home. I've been waiting on her but she never showed," Temari voiced.

"Temar, Kankuõ, search the city for her," they both nodded and then vanished. Gaara then got out of his chair and stared out the window. "Please be safe Y/N."

"Did you miss me?" The voice said. He is your father. Your abusive father.

"I never miss you," you mutter you felt like crawling in a hole and never coming out. You heart pounded with fear and your head spun.

"Awe that's no way to talk to your father!"

"You may have helped give me life but you're not my father!" You screamed in terror.

"Y/N!" A voice called. Turning you saw Temari as she rushed to you. She grabbed you and held your shaking body. She pulled her fan out and blew the bastards away. "Thank heavens you're alright."

". . ." You couldn't say anything. How did he find you? Why is he back?! Thoughts ran threw your mind that terrified you. Him being here is enough to scare you.

"Come on I'll take you to Gaara and--"

"No! Please!" You screamed.

"Why not?"

"Because I have androphobia," you whispered.

"Oh," she was taken back by this. Someone as loving as you have a fear like this?

"Please. . .just take me home," you cried into her as she began to walk. She did take you home. However, instead of leaving she stayed. Her heart felt for you so she sent for her brother. She knows how you feel about him. The only man able to be around you.

"Gaara thanks for coming," she said as he walked in.

"You said it was urgent about Y/N," Gaara looked to be uneased about something.

"She's upstairs and she's expecting you," without another word Temari left. Gaara's heart pounded in fear. He was briefed on what had happened. He entered your room and his heart dropped. Your eyes puffy and red, your hair unkempt, and it is evident you're crying.

"Gaara!" You lept onto him as his sturdy arms held your fragile body. "I'm so sorry! Please you're the only man I will allow to even be near me. I beg of you don't abandon me!" Gaara gasped with your words. He was unsure how to feel. He knows that his feeling for you are like no other. Your smile makes his day brighter, your soft-spoken words made him listen closer to you, and you are the most precious to him. He never read your file because he didn't want to know what sort of hell you've been through.

"I will never leave you. I will stay here until you push me away. Even then I will remain by your side."
