Sorry it's not too long but a part of it is really well written!
Enjoy
Chapter 39th
Scorpius and I figured out the best way to sort the rounds was to keep the previous year system, mixing houses but not years. We made the calendar and I organised it by colour in a way that every 6th year - shades of purple - had to do rounds every other week. 7th years - shades of blue - and 5th years - shades of pink - also had to do rounds every other week but 1 pair of each would not have to do rounds for a month. That way they would be able to study for the OWLs and NEWTs. In my modest opinion, we did a pretty good job. The only problem was the obvious tension between us, we hadn't really talked since our fight on monday but I knew that I wouldn't be the one making the first apology.
The only good thing that came out of this stupid fight was keeping it strictly professional during the prefects meeting later that week.
As soon as we closed the meeting, I left the room with Albus. Unfortunately, so did Scorpius. If Al had not noticed something was off beforehand, he definitely knew after the 5 minutes of awkward silence.
"Out with it." He said, stopping in the middle of the hallway and turning to face us.
"What?"
"Tell me what the hell happened."
"Why do you care?"
"Oh, let's see, because you are both my best friends and apparently you are also toddlers who are incapable of solving your own issues and need someone - me - to mediate. Did I get anything wrong?" He dared us to say a word. We didn't. "Good. Now tell me, what happened?"
"Ask her, she's the one who is suddenly acting all weird and possessive!"
"As if I was the only one to take the blame here"
"Then please Rose, I beg you, tell me what I did that deserved such a harsh reaction from you."
"As if you don't know."
"I don't! And stop with the 'as if's!" He threw his hands in the air attracting some unwanted attention from onlookers passing by. Albus sent them an apologetic look and tried to drag Scorpius and I into a more deserted corridor.
"Ask Zabini." I hissed and stormed out. At least, I tried to storm out but Albus grabbed my arm just in time and pulled me to the hallway of his choice.
"This again? You are telling me that all of this-" He gestured between my filming boyfriend and myself "is because of what Zabini said that day?"
"What day? What happened?" Scorpius looked now as lost as my dad in an appliances store and I couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed.
"You didn't tell him?" Albus had the disappointed look on his face. I hate that look. "When we went school shopping Rose got in a fight with Zabini in the middle of Flourish and Blotts." He explained to Scorp.
"Rose? In a fight?"
"An ugly one at that. Anyway, apparently Zabini had been claiming that the two of you exchanged some saliva in a party the previous day. She said you were pissed drunk and horny and was thinking with your penis and not your head and, well, what the penis wants, the penis gets. She didn't use these exact words."
"And you believed that?!" He looked accusingly at me and I feel my face getting warmer.
"Of course not!" We were back to shouting.
"Then why are you being so infuriating about this?"
"I am infuriating! You ought to know that!" Sometimes I use fancy words like 'ought' when I'm furious.
