Albus’ Point of View

I have never been so scared in my whole life. I was still in shock, could not allow my mind to fathom back into what happened in that crazy man’s office. Only thinking of not thinking gives me shivers.

“There he is” I could hear Cam’s voice behind me but he sounded so far away. Then I heard the sound of footsteps creeping towards me but I only actually processed I wasn’t alone when a hand came to rest on my shoulders.

“Al, what happened? Talk to me” I knew without looking who it was that was sitting on the arm of the armchair I was currently occupying but I looked up nevertheless, I never get tired of gazing into those warm brown eyes.

“Oh, Karen, it was horrible!” I pulled her to my lap and hid my face in her dark hair. She was obviously confused and unsure of what to do, I knew she wasn’t good with expressing herself and etc so she settled for caressing my head awkwardly while I fake-wept into her. After 5 minutes of this, she had enough.

“Okay Albus, this is ridiculous, come here.” Karen got my hand and dragged me upstairs to my room. “Now, spill it.”

So I did, cried like a baby while doing it, but I told her anyway. From the moment the professor found Scorp and I fooling around to the part when I ran from the teacher’s office and went right to McGonagall’s. Being the nice girlfriend she is, she tried to contain her laughter. ‘Tried’ being the key word.

After I did calm down and she stopped laughing, it was time for lunch. Karen sat on the Hufflepuff table with her friends and I went to sit with my friends. Too bad I never got there. James and Fred intersected me and steered me to an empty spot at our long table.

“Albie, we have an important mission for you.” James said serious.

“I have to admit I’m a little bit scared.”

“You should be little brother.”

“Alright James, quit stalling, what is it?” I just wanted to get this over with.

Fred and James exchanged a look before Fred started talking. “Al, you know how we always have an end of the year prank right? Well, Teddy passed down this important tradition to us when he graduated and even if after this year we will pass the tradition to Hugo, this year we are asking for you and your crew to set it up for us. We already have everything half-ready, you only need to pull it, there’s no way you could screw this up. It’s harmless, even Rose will agree with it.”

“Especially after that stunt she pulled on Zabini.” James commented.

“Yeah, especially after that, fool proof, you guys are smart, you can do this. Are you in?”

I debated on the idea for a second. There was one week left of school, yeah, it would be fun. “We’ll do it.”

And so the last day had arrived. All 3 beds in our 6th year Gryffindor room were neat, our trunks were closed in front of our beds and for the first time since September 2nd, you could see the floor.

“Alrighty, the bathroom is clean, there’s only the stuff we’ll need tonight and tomorrow morning.” Cam said walking out of the loo.

“Under the beds in clean too.” Gabe’s muffled voice came from under our four-posts.

“So I guess this is it.”

“Yup, only one more year to go.”

“We made it.”
