16th Chapter

“Erm… hey Beau” Awkward…

“Scorpius”

“Let go of me!” Sally struggled under my cousin’s firm grip.

“You keep quiet”

“Who are you to tell me what to do bitch?”

“I think if anyone is a bitch, that’s you.” That shut Sally. Beau turned to me. “I was under the impression you had a girlfriend Scorpius.”

“I do. What was happening here, well, it’s not what you think”

“Care to explain?” I casted an uncomfortable glance at Sally and Beau released her. “I suggest you get your arse out of here skank.” Sally resisted the urge to argue and left the commons. Beau looked at me expectantly.

“I didn’t want Sally, she sat on my lap and wouldn’t get off”

“Listen Scorpius, you are my little cousin, the only one I have and I care about you. I thought there was no hope for you once you started shagging everyone.”

“Hey! I didn’t –“

“But since you started dating that Weasley girl you became some what civilized. I admit, it surprised me a bit that you was dating a Weasley, with your grandfather’s beliefs and all. Although it didn’t all surprise me, the way people said you acted with each other was suspicious. Recently there have been a rumor going around, a rumor that I didn’t want to believe in, so you can imagine my deception in finding you here today with Zabini. I never talked to Weasley, but my mother said Aunt Astoria appeared to like the girl. That’s more then I could say about Zabini. Our parents may like hers, but she is an annoying slut.” Beau’s friends called her and she left saying a brief goodbye.

I went to my room where I threw myself on my 4-poster and tried to put my thoughts in order.

Beau and I were never close like the Weasley-Potter kids. She is a year older and also in Slytherin. My Aunt Daphne and Beau use to come to my house for Christmas, New Year and Easter and Beau tried to ‘take care’ of me, which I didn’t like since I thought I didn’t need to be taken care of. That is one of the reasons we were never actually friends. But I should’ve known that, if the image I was passing was of a man-whore – which I’m not –, she would ignore me.

Beau never had a father. Her mother was dating this guy who claimed to love her. One day she was at Diagon Alley with my parents and they saw this guy with another woman. Father got mad and started fighting with him but the woman was as shocked as my aunt. It so happens the guy was dating the two of them at the same time. The worse is when they found out it wasn’t only the woman and my aunt; he was dating a bunch of other girls.

Needless to say, Aunt Daphne broke up with him and, 2 months later, she discovered she was pregnant.  She brought up Beau on her own, coming to my parents whenever she needed something.

So you can see, my cousin hates man-whores.

Her approval of Rose made me happy and I had the sudden urge to make her proud, I wanted her to get the right image of me. Now there is another reason to give an end to this fucking rumor, and fast. If only Sally hadn’t…
