Chapter Forty Three - Plan In Action

We spent all day today preparing for the robbery, well at least Eddie and Jack did. He's spent nearly all day in his office, and no one is aloud to go in there. Not even me. I want to know why he's so focused about this, i mean yea it has to be done right or other wise we're screwed. But i'm just doing this cause it'll be fun, Jack seems to be doing this for another reason. You remember how that time at Ace Chemicals i said i had a feeling that something bad was gonna happen, and it did. Yea well i have that feeling again. I hope nothing bad does happen, or did i just jinx myself. Dammit. Well at the moment i am lying on the couch half asleep, already in my suit and with my new wrist magnums on. I was about to fall asleep until i felt two hands scoop me up. I opened my eyes to see Jack smiling evilly down at me. I smirked up at him and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Oh hello there, haven't seen you in a while." I joked with him as he carried me into his office. "Sorry bout that baby, i've been busy with this robbery. If we do this right, you'll get the surprise of a life time." He said excitedly as he sat me down on his desk. I looked down at the papers scattered everywhere on the desk and one of them caught my eye. A list of different kinds of jewelry, and on of the names was circled. Purple diamond ring. It doesn't look like he wants anything else, so why this specifically? And what for? If it's to give to me i'm flattered, but i don't really wear jewelry, besides his necklace that is.

"Nygma sent me a message before, he's coming around in a van in about five minutes. But i'm sure you're already ready." He said as he started playing with my hair. I nodded and locked my eyes with his, his memorizing blue eyes. I don't know what i would do without him. I mean about six months ago i couldn't care less if this clown died or not, but now he's my everything. It sounds so stupid now i think about it, but i honestly don't care. "God i love you so much." He sighed as he rested his forehead against mine. I giggled and kissed the corner of his mouth. "I love you too Jack." I whispered back. We sat there it that position for a few minutes, just with our foreheads against each other's and our eyes closed. Sometimes i wish we weren't criminals, and that we just lived a normal life together. But i guess being criminals makes our relationship a lot more exciting, and at the same time dangerous. But like i've said before, i wouldn't change him for the world. Suddenly we heard a car horn coming from outside, well that's our cue to go. "I don't wanna move." I sighed. Jack chuckled then moved his head away form mine. "Trust me doll face, you will. Once we get back you'll wish we did this sooner." He grinned his famous grin at me as he reached his hand out for me to take. What the heck could he mean? I'm so confused right now it's not even funny. Without hesitation i took his hand and we made our way downstairs and outside.

"Are you sure that's all you wanted J? I mean usually you would want more from a robbery like this... but okay." Eddie said with a confused expression on his face. We were driving to our location in one of Ed's eight seated vans, two of his henchmen in the front, me in the middle row with Jack on my left and Ed on my right, Harley behind me with Pam on her left and Selena on her right. "Yes Nygma i'm sure. That's all i'll need, remember." Jack answered with a proud smile on his face. "What does he mean?" I whispered over to Eddie. Jack looked over at him and sent him a death stare, meaning Eddie knows something i'm not supposed to. But i don't care,  want to find out. "Riddle me this Angel, what marks the end of one life but the beginning to another?" Urgh Eddie and his stupid riddles that give you the answer if you're smart enough. Dammit this isn't fair. "Edward shut up or i swear i'll plant a bullet in that empty skull of yours." Jack snapped at him. I turned my head slightly to look at Pam but she just smirked and shrugged her shoulders. Why does it seem like everyone in this van knows something that i don't. "Mind you J that it was this empty skull that organised this whole thing." Ed said with a smug face. Jack just growled in annoyance and wrapped his arm around my neck.

We pulled up about a block away from Wayne Enterprise, which is where all Bruce's new load of cash and jewelry is. Everyone else had to sneak through alleyways to get to the building, but i just flew over. I love the feeling of flying, it's just so nice. I waited in an alleyway next to Wayne Enterprise about ten or so minutes for everyone else to get here. Finally i see them emerge form the shadows. "Bout time, i was gonna go in without you's." i chuckled as they walked over to me. "Well i'm sorry, i don't have mutant wings." Selina purred in a somewhat annoyed way. I smirked then looked up at what could be the tallest building in Gotham. This should be super easy as long as the bat doesn't ruin it, then again it'll be one vs six plus henchmen. Seems like a fair fight considering the bloody rodent is armed to his freaking teeth. "Alright then, let's go." Harley said excitedly. We each nodded and split off our own ways to get to the floor were all this stuff is. I will obviously fly up, Selina is using her grappling hook and Ivy is using her vines to climb up the side of the building. Harley, Ed and Jack on the other hand are just going to go up from the inside by just shooting everyone in sight, with the help of Jack's and Ed's henchmen of course. That feeling i got before has gone now, so i shouldn't need to think anything of it anymore. Right?

I flew up to the 53rd floor windows, beating everyone else up obviously, and blasted open the window. I flew in and landed in the middle of the room, Selina and Pam not too far behind me. Selina walked over to a desk near me and placed the duffel bag full of her vault opening gear on it. She pulled out some weird looking stuff and started to open up the vault, and about ten or so minutes later the others finally arrived. "God you guys take forever." I said as Harley walked over to me and placed her bag of... hand grenades on the table? Why the heck does she need those? "Show off." I heard her mumble under her breath. I looked over at her and gave her a friendly death stare, then  we both cracked up laughing. "Be quiet you two, unless you want to be caught." Eddie said in a somewhat whisper. "I thought you killed everyone?" Ivy asked. "Yea, below us. Not above." Jack answered in an annoyed tone. Suddenly Selina squealed out in excitement which made us all jump. "Alright everyone, take out your share." Selina said as she turned to face us. Jack instantly ran in and started searching around, then not long after came out with a small box in his hand which i'm guessing contains this ring he's oh so crazy about getting. As Harley and i were about to walk in we heard a smash from my left, followed by a loud thud. We all looked over to that direction and i mentally slapped myself for jinxing us. "Freeze now and i'll go easy on you all."
