I was going to try and ask questions, but I was quiet the walk to the new place. What possibly possessed me to actually agree to such an outlandish plan with a complete stranger, and a stranger that I'm pretty sure I don't like I might add. I must be insane, or dreaming. I get the feeling that Yamato is uncomfortable too. If I didn't know better I'd think he actually seems nervous. He can't be nervous though; he's too arrogant for that.
As we walk up to his apartment I notice he lives in a pretty nice building. At least he knows how to pick a nice place. I hope he's not a complete slob.
"Well," says Yamato breaking the awkward silence, "Welcome to your new home."
When he unlocks the door I gasp. "This place is immaculate. It's so modern and clean. There's even one of those robot vacuum cleaners."
"Don't sound so shocked," said Yamato. "It's obvious I would keep a great place."
           Ugh, there's that arrogance again.
"Also this is Roomba. He's family?"
"Does that mean I can't glue eyes on him," I say cracking a half smile.
Yamato rolls his eyes. "Anyway, have a seat. I'm the best cook in town. You'll soon have your taste buds blessed with my cooking."
Arrogant much. Sheesh. "Says the man who's never had my cooking. I could give you a run for your money."
"Why don't you put your money where your mouth is," says Yamato. I notice he's standing about an inch away from my face, and I look away so he won't see my blush. What's wrong with me? I don't get why this guy gets me so stirred up.  "You're on," I say.
Surprisingly we flowed together really well in the kitchen. It was as if we were already a team. We made hamburgers and fries, as American food happens to be my specialty. "I hate to admit defeat, but I think our cooking tied."
Yamato laughed, "How is a tie loosing?"
            "It's not winning," I said.
Yamato smirked, "I think living with me is winning."
"I think living with me is winning the lottery," I teased.
"Maybe it is," he said still smirking.
I felt my face getting red again. "Why don't you get the first bath?" I said. I'll clean up. Yamato nodded and went in the bathroom. I thought his face looked red too, but I'm sure I was imagining it. After I cleaned up I went to bathe. When I got out of the tub Yamato was already asleep on the couch. I just assumed that's where I was supposed to sleep. Maybe Yamato is a gentleman after all.
As I lay down I'm already falling asleep. I feel strangely peaceful. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
