Chapter Seven

Hey I just wanted to say sorry for Chef not really being a part in my chapters, I can't think of a good way to include him.

We are sitting at the breakfast table, and Bridgette is obsessing over how she feels sooooo bad for Gwen. "You really shouldn't feel bad Bridgette. Gwen is a jerk!" Says Sadie. "Yeah. Like, Tooootal jerk." Says Katie. "I don't know guys. Gwen seems nice..." Says Bridgette. "No Gwen is a jerk." I say. I observe the Screaming Gophers and find that my theory was correct, Justin was eliminated. We finish up breakfast. "Today the challenge will be held just right outside the mess hall. Sit in a circle so me and Chef can describe the challenge." We finish up breakfast and sit in a circle outside the mess hall. "The challenge of today is truth or dare. It's basically like you kids playing truth or dare, but you have to actually do the dare if you choose dare, and if you choose truth, you have to sit in the electric chair, and will get shocked if you lie. If you tell the truth or complete the dare your team gets a point. The team with the most points wins. So basically the Killer Bass will make up a truth or dare for each of the Screaming Gophers, and vice versa. To make it even, three of the Screaming Gophers will have to go twice. Killer Bass go first! Choose a Screaming Gopher to ask!" Says Chris. "Okay guys who are we asking?" Asks Geoff. "How about Cody cause he's a wuss?" Says Eva. "Hey!" Says Cody. "Okay, Cody, truth or dare?" I ask. "Dare! I am NOT a wuss." He replies. "Okay. What's the dare?" I ask the team. "I know! Cody, I dare you to call up Sierra and ask her to go on a date with her when you get back home." Says Sadie. A lot of people comment "OOOOOH." Good one, Sadie! Cody looks worried then relieved. "I don't have a phone." He says. "That's okay, you can use mine." Says Chris, handing him a phone. Cody looks mortified as he types in Sierra's number and hits call. She picks up immediately. "OMG CODYKINS I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" I can hear her screaming. "Umm, I was wondering, will you go on a date with me when I get back from this season?" He asks. I hear her screaming yes at the top of her lungs and then Cody hangs up before she can say anything else. "Look what you guys got me into!" Says Cody, and gives Chris his phone back. "That's a point for the Screaming Gophers!" Says Chris. "Okay our turn now. We choose Bridgette. Truth or dare?" Asks Heather, giving her team no say in the decision. "Oh. Me. Umm, truth. I don't really have anything to hide." Says Bridgette. She gets up and sits in the electric chair, which Chef and Chris have put beside our circle. Everyone turns to face her. "Okay what should we ask h-" Starts Trent, but Heather interrupts him. "Bridgette, why did you cheat on Geoff with Alejandro?" Asks Heather. She is such a jerk. "Well, I, it was a big mistake, I was really missing Geoff so I, pretended he was Geoff and kissed him." She says, and gets shocked. "Looks like the Killer Bass DON'T get a point because Bridgette is a LIAR!" Says Chris. Why couldn't she have told the truth? Everyone knows she kissed him because she liked him and was so charmed she forgot all about Geoff. "Okay guys who are we gonna ask?" Asks Bridgette, looking sad and ashamed. "Let's ask Noah. He's shrimpy, just like Cody." Says Duncan, and Noah rolls his eyes. "Good idea. Noah, truth or dare? " Eva asks. "Truth." Says Noah, and he goes and sits in the electric chair. "What do you really think of Owen?" I ask, knowing that a person like him would probably be annoyed by him. "I honestly think of him as my 'buddy.'" He says. There is no shock. Dang it, I thought he would lie to protect Owen's feelings, but I guess their friendship really is two sided. "That's a point for the Screaming Gophers!" Says Chris. "Come on guys we can't lose our winning streak!" Says Eva. "Sadie truth or dare?" Leshawna asks. "Dare! I can handle anything you throw at me!" Says Sadie. Seriously? Their team whispers for a second. "We dare you to kiss Ezekiel!" Says Leshawna. Sadie holds her mouth like she's about to throw up. "No I won't!" She says. "Is that final?" Chris asks. "YES!" She says. Zeke glares at her. "Okay then. Zero to Two." Chris says. "REALLY SADIE?!" Yells Eva, getting up in her face. Our turn. "Let's dare Heather." Says Bridgette, glaring at her. "Okay. Oh my gosh I have an amazing dare! Heather I dare you to kiss Gwen ON THE LIPS!" I say. She gasps. "Ugh. We HAVE to win!" She says, then grabs Gwen and gives her the quickest peck of all time on the lips, then they both wipe their lips, making disgusted faces. DANG I thought for SURE she would chicken! Now it's three to zero! Their turn. "Tyler! Truth or dare?" Asks Heather. "Dare!" Says Tyler. "I dare you to do a cartwheel WITHOUT failing. Meaning if you fail, you don't get the point." She says. "EASY!" Says Tyler, then attempts a cartwheel and falls on his face. Everyone on our team groans. "Okay we need to do a really good one." Says Geoff. "I know!" I say. "Truth or dare, Gwen?" I ask. "Umm, truth?" She says, and sits on the electric chair. "How do you feel about Trent?" I ask. "He's a good friend." She says, then gets shocked. Haha, friend. Suuuure. "No point!" Announces Chris. Their turn. "Ezekiel! Truth or dare?" Asks Trent. "Dare!" He says. Dang, he should have chosen truth, I bet he doesn't have any dark secrets since he's such a loser. Then their team whispers about what the dare should be. "We dare you to say something a cool kid would say." They say. "Easy peezy, ay! Yo, bro, wanna buy some soda, ay?" He says, and literally everyone facepalms. "I'll be the judge of that, NO POINT!" Chris exclaims. Our turn. "I have a good idea. Elvis, truth or dare?" Duncan asks. "Dare." Trent says, glaring at Duncan. "I dare you to smack Pasty in the face. If it doesn't leave a mark, you don't get the point!" Duncan says. "I'm not doing it!" Says Trent. "SERIOUSLY?!" Yells Heather. Yes! No point. "Geoff truth or dare?" Asks Gwen. "Dare, dude!" He says. "I dare you to put itching powder on your butt for one minute." She says. Chris pulls itching powder out of nowhere. Geoff crawls over to Chris, grabs it and pours in in his pants. After one painful minute of watching Geoff yell, itch and jerk around, he finally jumps in the lake and rinses it out. "That's a point for the Killer Bass!" Says Chris. Our turn. "Leshawna, truth or dare? I ask. "Truth!" She says, and goes and sits in the electric chair. "Do you have a crush on Harold?" Asks Duncan, most likely hoping her pride will get the best of her. "Yes, I do." She says, blushing. "Point for the Screaming Gophers." Chris says as Leshawna goes back to her spot. "Courtney truth or dare?" Asks Gwen, probably eager to get back at me for exposing her true feelings and making her disappoint her team. "Dare." I say. Truth is way to risky with my, um, feelings problems right now. "I dare you to French kiss Duncan." She says, anger in her eyes. I can't be the cause of our loss. I can't get eliminated. I have to make it to the finale then kick butt! I walk over to Duncan and surprise everyone, including myself by sticking my tongue in his mouth then pressing my lips against his. It feels so nice, but makes me so sad, knowing that it's only for a dare, knowing that he betrayed me, and so now it can never be real. But it feels so real. I pull away, my cheeks blazing red. "YES!" Yells Duncan, and fist bumps with Geoff and DJ. "That's another VERY juicy point for the Killer Bass." Chris says. Good, we're catching up. "Izzy, truth or dare?" I ask, since she's the only one left. "Dare!" She says excitedly. "I dare you to kiss Trent." I say, without asking my team if they agreed. I didn't care. I had to get back at Gwen. Without hesitating, she pecked him on the lips. I could see the hurt and anger on Gwen's face, which is just what I wanted to see. "Point!" Says Chris. "Duncan truth or dare?" Gwen asks. "Truth, to prove that I have no regrets!" He says. I try to hold back tears, then he realizes what he just said. "Well actually I have one. But that's not much." Thank god he said that. Why do I even care? If this is love, I don't want to be in love. It's too much pain. He sits in the electric chair. "Do you like Courtney?" Gwen asks, with a ridiculous flirty smile that makes me want to punch her in the face. "Um, no I like you, pasty." He says. He gets shocked. I don't even care. I break down in tears for the second time this season. I fall on the ground shaking and sobbing and kicking. I don't even care about being embarrassed. "Wait, princess I didn't mean it! I LOVE you! I just didn't wanna say it in front of Gwen! I like you! Not her!" Duncan protests. I dry my tears and take shaky deep breaths. Everyone is silent. I stand up and dust off my clothes. "Continue the challenge." I calmly say, wishing I could erase that moment. I don't want anyone to see me cry, let alone viewers nationwide! Duncan looks ashamed and everyone else looks surprised and sympathetic, especially Gwen. "Well, they don't get a point." Says Chris. Bridgette rubs my back for a second. I just look straight ahead with no emotion. "Umm, so, Gwen truth or dare? Three people have to go twice on your team to make it even and we choose you as one of them." Says Eva. "Truth." She says, looking down. I don't let any emotion show on my face. "Why are you such a b****?" She angrily asks. Wow, Eva coming to my defense. I never thought that would happen! Gwen sits in the chair. "I'm not. Everyone makes mistakes." She says, then gets shocked! Sadie, Katie and Eva all crack up. "She deserved that!" Says Katie. "Totally!" Says Sadie. "DJ truth or dare?" Asks Leshawna. "Truth!" He says. Their team chats as DJ sits in the chair. "Would you rather hit three animals or yo mama?" Asks Leshawna, probably hoping that he would lie and say animals even though secretly he would hit his mom. "Animals. I love animals, but I love mama even more!" Says DJ, and doesn't get shocked. "Who should we ask?" Says Geoff. "Let's ask Gwen again to get her back!" Katie says. "Good idea!" Says Eva. I have regained my confidence and am now acting like nothing happened. Duncan is staring at the ground. I don't care about him anymore. Caring hurts too much. "Gwen, truth or dare?" Asks Sadie. "Dare." She says. "I dare you to let Heather slap you five times. If you tell her to stop you don't get the point." Says Eva. Hell yes, thanks Eva! Heather grins and smacks Gwen with all her force. Gwen looks straight forward and braces herself for another blow. SMACK! This time her eyes fill with tears. Heather smacks her again, with no mercy. "STOP!" Yells Gwen. "No point!" Says Chris. "Eva truth or dare?" Asks Gwen, eager to get back at Eva. "I know exactly what you're trying to do. Your trying to get me to do an impossible dare. TRUTH." Says Eva. She sits in the chair. "Who do you have a crush on?" Asks Gwen. "Easy. Nobody." She says, and ... gets SHOCKED? I wonder who she likes! She hasn't expressed interest in anyone. She must be good at hiding her emotions. Unlike ME. "No point!" Says Chris. "This chair is messed up." Eva mumbles as she storms back to her spot, blushing. "GWEN TRUTH OR DARE?" Asks Sadie. "Seriously? Okay, truth." Says Gwen. She sits in the chair. "Why did you only care about yourself and not your kinda friend Courtney when you kissed Duncan in World Tour?" Asks Katie. "Yeah Gwen, why?" Says Sadie. "Because he wasn't her boyfriend at the time!" Exclaims Gwen, and she gets shocked. "Katie. Truth or dare?" Asks Cody, since she's the last one. "Truth." She says. "Who do you like?" Asks Noah, after their team discusses what to ask. "Trent." She says, blushing, and doesn't get shocked. "Point!" Says Chris. "Gwen truth or dare." Says Katie. "Dare." "I dare you to kiss Cody on the lips for fifteen seconds." Gwen does it, while Katie counts to fifteen. Cody seems to enjoy it, a LOT. Then a feeling of dread goes all over my body. "OH MY GOSH GWEN AND KATIE! NO! What about Sierra! She will be devastated!" I shout. "Whatever, she's a creepy stalker anyway." Says Heather. Katie and Gwen both look like they feel bad. "Time to tally up the score! The score is: Four to six. The Screaming Gophers win. Killer Bass! Meet me at the elimination ceremony later." I go to the cabin and read a book about pointers for CIT's. "Are you okay?" Bridgette asks, sitting down on my bed. "Yeah I'm totally fine why wouldn't I be?" I ask. "Oh come on Courtney, I know that your feelings are hurt." She says, rubbing my back. (I'm laying on my back reading). I look up from my book. "I'm just so done with getting my feelings hurt. And Duncan is the main cause. I am never gonna have a relationship with him again, not even a friendship." I say, leaking my heart out to Bridgette. "I am so sorry that you keep getting hurt. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know." She says. "Thanks." I say, and put my book on the ground and just lay there with my head in my bed and let Bridgette rub my back, its making me feel better. I can feel the sadness in my body, but I also feel...better? I'm not sure how to describe it, it's like being sad made me feel better. After a while Bridgette says "let me know if you need anything. I'm always here for you, and even though they don't really express it, I'm pretty sure Sadie, Katie and Eva are too." I smile at her and she smiles back then leaves the cabin. I take a deep breath, feeling a lot better. I know this is where I should make a list. A list of how to get back at Duncan for causing me to cry in front of everyone. For lying. But I don't need a list. I can make my decisions when I want to. I read for a while then Eva comes in the cabin and crouches down next to my bed. (Even though I sleep on the top I'm laying on the bottom, which is Bridgettes bunk, but I think thats fine with her.) "Hey, umm, if you ever need me to beat someone up for you, just let me know." She says. "Thanks." I say, smiling. She cares. She actually cares. Maybe, there will be an unlikey friendship. She leaves the cabin, and I read till the elimination ceremony. I know that sounds boring, but I needed a break from my thoughts and away from other people. I go to the elimination ceremony and sit in between Eva and Bridgette. I sneak a glance to Duncan, who is looking down. I vote for Ezekiel. He is annoying and useless. There's no use voting for Duncan. Geoff and DJ are his buddies, they would never vote for him. And everyone else is probably too busy voting for someone less useful. "The following people are safe: DJ. Geoff. Katie. Bridgette. Eva. Courtney. Duncan. Sadie. Tyler and Ezekiel, you both chose dare and then failed at an incredibly easy dare. The last marshmallow goes to...

Tyler! Ezekiel, your eliminated and can never come back. EVER." Says Chris. "Again, ay? I thought I was going to win!" Says Ezekiel, then is escorted to the boat of losers. Bye bye, I won't miss you.
