Chapter Twelve Part Two

OMG I am SO sorry. I have not updated in AGES! My laptop broke and it wasn't fixed till yesterday!

As DJ is leaning in to kiss Geoff, all of the sudden I feel myself being grabbed and pulled, and I hear other people screaming. "YES!" I look up to see Gwen. Oh my god. Their holding us captive! I forgot all about that part. I look around and see that Sadie, Katie, Bridgette Geoff and DJ have been taken as well. That means that its up to Duncan and Eva to save us! Well good thing Eva is so strong and embarrassingly enough, I have noticed that Duncan has some muscles too. Then I feel us speeding away. "Hey, how did you guys get a motor?" I ask angrily. "We found another boat while we were drifting away. So we removed the motor and installed it to this boat. Leshawna taught us how. Apparently she knows a thing or two about cars!" Says Trent. Gwen is driving, Leshawna at her side, and they are talking about how glad they are that Heather's gone. "Oh Trent. Your so hot!" Says Katie. "Umm... thanks I guess? Imma go check on Gwen and Leshawna." Says Trent, and walks away, clearly uncomfortable. Cody is sitting with us awkwardly. "Eva gonna save us! I know she will!" Says DJ. "Ha. You think EVA can get past my muscles? NO ONE can get past my muscles!" Says Cody, and everyone cracks up. I know Duncan would laugh if he were with us. Dang it, I'm thinking about him again! Cody looks pissed and goes over to his teammates. "Hey so not to doubt Eva and Duncan, but it's hard to catch up to a boat that has a motor using a boat without a motor." Says Bridgette. "Yeah, it's impossible. We're just going to have to find a way to escape so they can't win." I say. "Well we can't jump out now; we'd be stuck in the middle of nowhere!" Says Geoff. "I know. Which is why if they stop at an island at night, we need to find a way to escape! They can't win! If they lose, they'll only have THREE players! Which means it will be easy to beat them!" I say, cause you all know I'm all about that winning! We talk in the boat for a while, okay, more than a while, for like, ever. It's mostly just chit chart, but I'll tell you the juicy part. Okay so at one point, the gophers overheard us talking about how the other bass would save us. So Gwen said "why would Duncan and Eva even come to save you? Even though I love most of you, I'm not sure they do." Gwen says with a laugh. "Well, Duncan is basically in love with me so I'm sure he'll come for me. And I'm pleased to inform you that Eva is besties with me, so even though you think that I can't make friends, I can." I say. Wow Courtney. nice job. That was too much! A complete overreaction! "Oh Courtney. I didn't mean it like that- really!" Says Gwen. "Sure. You think your the only one Duncan cares about, but your like, so totally not!" Says Katie. "Yeah, like, obviously!" Says Sadie. Gwen sighs. "That's really not what I meant." Says Gwen. And just to make her squirm for fun, I say "its not? Is that because your in a relationship?" "Of course not. I have no idea what your talking about! No way!" Protests Gwen. If you don;'t remember, Gwen and Trent are secretly dating, but I caught them, and now their secret is at risk if they don't do what I say. So they probably shouldn't have taken me captive, but its okay, I kinda just got them back. Then Gwen goes back to her friends, with Leshawna steering. Anyways, back to now, we're listening to the Gophers talking. "There's Boney Island! Should we spend the night there? The hostages don't have a boat, so they couldn't escape." Says Trent. "Okay good idea!" Says Leshawna, and steers us to Boney Island. We all get off. By now, its pretty dark, but still just barely bright enough for us to be able to see. The gophers pull the boat up to the shore. Then we walk over to the grassy part, which takes a little while so its almost pitch black, like Gwen's soul, by the time we get there. "How about all the boys sleep a couple feet away from all the girls." Says Trent. "But I'll get scared if I can't snuggle Geoff!" Says Bridgette. "Okay how about you guys can sleep next to each other and the rest of us will sleep a little bit away." Says Gwen. "Okay!" Everyone else says. Me and the other girls sleep in this order: Me, Sadie, Katie, Leshawna, then, ugh- Gwen. Geoff and Bridgette sleep a little bit away from Gwen. The boys sleep in this order: DJ, Cody then Trent. DJ was next to me a few feet away.

I'm really good at waking up. I can like, set a mental timer. So sometimes really late, (there was obviously no clock), I wake up and look around to make sure that Gwen and Leshawna are fast asleep. Then I wake Sadie and Katie up very quietly. I put my finger to my lips so they know to stay quiet. Then I whisper as quietly as possible "will you guys go sneakily and quietly wake DJ up and tell him in your quietest whisper that we're escaping?" They both nod their heads. Then I carefully walk over to Geoff and Bridgette. I shake them and they both look up at me. "We're escaping!" I whisper. They both nod, and I see Sadie, DJ and Katie walk up behind us. Good, Sadie and Katie succeeded. I motion for them to follow me, and we walk for probably about an hour till we find some trees. It was really nerve racking trying not to wake up the gophers, I'm glad we were able to make it. "Okay guys," I say in my normal voice cause were around an hour away from the gophers, there's no way at all they could hear us. "We need to get wood and vines, and we need a lot, because we have to make a raft so we can get away. Sadie, me and Katie will break branches off trees, and the rest of you search for and collect vines. Remember to always stay together, they are many dangers on this island. Meet us back here when your done." I say. "And remember, whatever you do, don't take any cursed objects like Beth! It will ruin the roll that our team is on!" Jokes Geoff, and everyone laughs. I hope Duncan and Eva are doing okay. Eva cause she's my friend and Duncan for the good of our team. The more players the better! Geoff, DJ and Bridgette go off to collect vines, and me, Sadie and Katie get more wood . "So, how's it going with Duncan?" Asks Katie, giggling, about fifteen minutes after we start getting branches. "I already told you! I'm not interested in a relationship with him. He betrayed me." I say. "I know right! I like, totally hate him!" Says Katie. "OMG! Like, me too!" Says Sadie. I try not to giggle at how quickly they're minds changed. Around what I'm assuming is an hour later, Bridgette, DJ and Geoff come back. "We got a lot of vines, dudes! We almost got mauled by a bear, but Bridgette and DJ used their animal skills to calm it down." Says Geoff. "Good! Now we just have to put this raft together, escape, then find Duncan and Eva, which will be hard in the big lake." I say. "Okay. Let's make the raft." We make the raft then push it into the water. Then we walk into the water and get on, making sure to balance the weight. DJ gets off, pushes the raft off then jumps on. "So... now do we just.. wait?" Asks Bridgette. "I guess. I'm very patient. I'm sure you guys will be fine. "I'm like, so tired. Can we sleep?" Asks Sadie. "Yeah I don't see why not." I say. So we all curl up so we can fit and fall asleep. I wake up to someone poking me. "What?" I look up and see Duncan. He helps me up and onto the boat. They found us! Yay! I wonder what time it is. Then I see that its bright out. Maybe its time to go back! "Hurry!" Eva yells, helping people onto the boat. I start helping. Once we have everyone on, Eva takes the wheel and speeds towards the island. Then I see the other team! Their a little bit ahead of us. "The other team! We have to beat them!" I say. "Chris said we could throw things at our opponents! We need something to throw!" Says DJ. "DJ! Drive the boat, I got this!" Yells Eva, and they switch places. Eva literally rips the door off the little room and chucks it at the driver, who, lucky me, happens to be Gwen! And it hits her right in the face! We speed past them and across the finish line. "That was harsh! I like it! Do you have all of your team?" Says Chris, then counts us. "Killer Bass win!" Announces Chris, and we all cheer and scream. "Um Chris? I think Gwen probably needs a medic. She was hit in the head with a door." Says Bridgette. "A door?! Geez! I guess that there are still psychos despite Izzys elimination!" Laughs Chris, then calls the medic intern to sail over and help Gwen. Their still in the middle of the lake, and I bet there trying to help Gwen. "I bet Cody is having a heart attack over Gwen getting an injury." Laughs Duncan, and I can't help but chuckle at his joke. He looks at me blushing, and I feel myself blushing back. Then we just stare and blush for what feels like forever. He is so hot! How will DJ and Eva's relationship go? Will it work out? Will Leshawna get eliminated? She better I told Gwen and Trent to vote for her for being to strong of a player. Will things be different now that the whole team including Duncan knows that I like him? Find out next time on Total.
